The scene with the child might be confusing out of context, i like your interpretation tho! but let me share some context for you guys: Boogie Man is about the fear of trying out something new, fear of breaking away from your routine, and getting out of yoir comfort zone. while every members have the similar story, the theme hits the hardest with our violinist's past. He was classically trained for 20+ years, to the point where he hates it so much & wanted to run away. after his military service, he gave violin and music another chance, and fell in love with busking & performing. he turns away from classic completely, despite the protests of his mother & scorns from his peers (you know how classical musicians are, if you play pop music, you're not a real musicians). he found liberation in finally being able to do the music he trully loves & now literally pouring his heart and soul into lucy's music. so that scene with the child is him, patting his past self who hates violin, telling him that it's going to be alright. and once the ribbon was cut, he went full on rock, simbolizing his newfound freedom glad you like the soang & the performance!! boogie man is a special case song, i don't think they have other songs that are very heavy like this. their song is usually very bright, cheerful, comforting, but also pop-rock with a little sprinkle of j-pop flavour. you can check out their newest title track 'Villain', or a very dark-fantasy-anime-esque single 'The Knight Who Can't Die and The Silk Cradle'. hope to see more lucy from you guys! ^^
Yechan - Violinist Sangyeop - Guitarist Wonsang - Bassist Gwangil - Drummer And yeah, Sangyeop is another squirrel that I bias. Wonsang is one of the, if not the best known bassist in SK. Yechan loves weaving in classical inspiration with his music and plays with tones that are inspired by Ghibli. Sangyeop has a beautiful high tone that cuts through the little bit of nasal tone that Wonsang and and Gwangil have. (But not nasal in a bad way). I'm just so happy y'all enjoyed it!

Boogie Man itself is already a hella mind blowing song with the sudden time signature change mid song, gorgeous bridge, ambience percussions, multiple modulations & key changes here and there, insane bass line, even the mixing & layering is perfect. when i thought it can't be better, they PROVE ME WRONG, the live performance is EVEN CRAZIER!! the bass solo at the begining too? that's THE bassist of south korea for you. crushing many young bassists' dream to be the best, one insane solo at a time /hj they do everything by themselves from composing, writing, arranging, recording, directing, mixing, producing, even to album concepts & stage acts like that, that's all them.
