Lucy Deakins was great in The Boy Who Could Fly and Eric and Millie had a great connection. The 80s were such a different time and I liked this movie and because it was so innocent and different.
I loved the movie, "The Boy Who Could Fly" because it felt it was a positive movie to me to see we each have certain abilities to do things well and that is the positive side of seeing this film. Nothing is impossible if one believes in yourself. I love that theory which is mine.

She looked tired in this interview and seemed she just came out of bed but she still looked good. It's revealing to see how mature, tough and level-headed she looks for a 15 year old. A precociously attractive gal the likes one doesn't see any more nowadays.
Wouldn't it be nice to reunite Millie and Eric in a sequel " THE MAN WHO COULD FLY" ? I first saw this movie when I was about 22 years old. I always wondered what happened to Eric when he flew off. Were the authorities even looking for him ? Did Eric take on another identity somewhere to hide from the public, or did he fly somewhere to die in private ? It would be an interesting sequel for 2023, about 40 years after "THE BOY WHO COULD FLY". I think Eric lived under another identity, kept a low profile for years, and fate would bring the two back together in their mid fifties in 2023. I imagine Millie being widowed after a good marriage with another man and when she's reunited with Eric, it rekindles her first love with him. Her younger brother Louis ( Fred Savage) grew up and has a fine career in the Army. Using his military connections and resources, Louis helps his sister find Eric and brings the two together after her husband's passing. Just my imagination for a POSSIBLE sequel.
I don't know why did she quit doing movies..she was such a talented actresses ...but I guess some things aren't to last forever...you just have to let go..just like Milly did with Eric.. maybe I'm getting too emotional 🥺. I will remember you Milly❤️
