Its like the opposite of GRAVITY, sandra B. was trying her best to reach earth overcoming all the obstacles in space, and here, Natalie is trying to go to space overcoming all the obstacles on earth :)
Oh nice synchronicity. I used to watch videos about Syncromysticism (meaningful coincidences in the subtexts of films or the actors/directors career) THAT would have been a good topic for one of those!
Mister1bigidea so, like anti-Gravity? I really felt let down by Gravity (unintentional pun that time) - after all the hype, it just turned out to be spectacular nonsense. Here’s hoping that Lucy In The Sky is a much smarter movie.
@@miked1869 it's not a nonsense. It's about the most profound choice a person can ever face: you choose to live or die. You let life go or you stick to it. And this choice is represented visually, stunningly, by putting it out in space (this is the movie you HAVE TO watch on the big screen) - on your right there's the darkness and silence, no oxygen, death, on your left the Earth with colours, movements, sounds, and life. And there's this woman stuck in a spaceship between the two, who hasn't really lived nor died since her daughter died, more just vegetated, walked between the two. And she's now in a situation when she doesn't have a choice, but to make a choice - she wants to embrace life or wants to let it go for good. And she makes her choice, first to die, then God knows from where life instinct kicks in (in the form of a hallucination), and she makes her choice to live. And the last scene, when she stands up, struggling to carry her weight first but smiling and ready to walk again, is just beautiful. I loved this movie, because in a way it's very simple and yet, incredibly deep and profound.
Natalie Portman, the girl with kaleidoscope eyes!!! She's gonna get back to where she once belonged! Maybe I'm Amazed at the way I still.... LOVE YOU YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!
Movie Coverage great upload thanks for the awesome work you do getting all this great content your channel Rocks...Natalie Portman Looks stunning....A+A+A+A+A+A+
The movie is trying to justify the actions of Lisa Nowak, the former female astronaut who went nuts and tried to kill her ex lovers new girlfriend. They are putting a ideological spin to distract from the real purpose of the film: to give an "empowerment argument" on her sociopath behavior.
@@Panwere36 Ideological how? Have you seen the film? Explaining actions not the same as justifying. A historian explaining the rise of Hitler is not a justification.
@@hd-xc2lz , actually, I know the real story it is based on! It is a rice paper attempt to justify the crimes of Lisa Nowak, the former astronaut who tried to murder her ex-lover's new girlfriend. Look it up.
Icaptan not at all true. She’s always been pretty bad at accents. She would switch back into her natural accent frequently while in character and would pronounce words very weirdly in the characters accent. This movies accent is actually good and thats a first for her lol.
Picture yourself in a boat on a river With tangerine trees and marmalade skies Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly A girl with kaleidoscope eyes
and as she was lost, drifting aimlessly in space...that she discovered a strange, outer wordly, artifact. One that she forgot about long ago, from a relationship she thought she left behind...it was Meow Meow!!
One major problem within the first 30 seconds, scientist use the word ' theory' in the right context and not williy nilly like most do. They use it precise definition, hypothesis would be a correct term for his obversation of astronauts.
Natalie grinding hard for years. She was a doll before star ward. The woman is a fighter and has barely disappointed for a long while...she seems to be alot smarter than her roles on screen sometimes. Probabaly be a movie about her one day
Is this based on a true story..? While watching it I had a flashback to a news story of a female astronaut who killed (or attempted) to kill another person's wife... Anybody out there heard about this..?
I'm a fan of exploring what you can do with aspect ratios, but this is a bit much. Going from square frame to widescreen, back to square, back to wide screen... come on guys... chill.
All the NASA logos shown are different from the standard NASA logo. For one thing, they all are missing the red "forked-tongue" insignia which cuts across the letters, in the correct logo.
