GAGAGAGAGAGA!!! I watched this video and it is really not that good compared to my perfect videos. GAGAGAGAGA!!! This is NOT self-promotion! This is the reality! This is the world! We are the people! Don't disl****ke my vide*****s, my dear ketq
the oils he secretes adds a protective layer that coats the cards when he handles them. most people wash that precious oil down the drain, not Charlie. he knows what he's doing
It's weird indeed. Everywhere I comment, people tell me how much they love me and my videos. Sometimes it is annoying. But right now it would be okay. So say something nice about my content, dear lon
15:37 Lud - "$39.95. you can buy a video game in 1999" Charlie - "yeah, i can get like a bargain bin game like Madden 15" Charlie living 16 years ahead of us
FYI Foils curl because the paper on the back of the card absorbs moisture over time whereas the foil layer prevents the front from expanding at the same rate. So the back expands and curls the card in towards the front. Alternatively if you dry out a foil enough and remove all the moisture it will actually curl the other way (towards the back of the card). To fix inwards curling you can put it in a ziplock bag with some silicon sachets, to fix outwards curling you can put it in front of a humidifier.
Gym heros was hands down my absolute favorite to open when I was a kid. It was the first set that added another layer of dimension for me trying to complete the lineup of a specific leader on top of grabbing every thing I could get my hands on
I have no clue about Pokemon cards yet I find this pack opening extremely interesting. These two guys are awesome. Every now and then I get one of Charlie's videos recommended and it's a blast every time :D
I stopped collecting after fossil but I had all the holos from the original 3 sets. Keep in mind I was a kid, not a collector, so I didn't have them in protectors and they were far from PSA 10. I eventually sold all of them to some little kid's mother so I could afford to get into playing Yu-Gi-Oh with my friends. Hindsight is definitely 20/20. I miss my fossil Gengar so much.
@@That_Doctor_Del_Fella I feel you! I was one of the few people that played the pokemon card game, but i also collected and had a binder. But I doubt any of my cards was over a PSA 7, I played yugioh to! My yugioh cards where in way worse condition though. I didn't get deck sleeves for my cards for a very long time, and I played a lot!
Charlie is starting to open boxes like a mad man, normal box opening doesn't do it for him anymore, he just keep geting more and more insane in order to calm his lust.
Honestly, it's no more an "addiction" than actually catching all the Pokemon in the games. I think it's a neat and fun hobby and I love seeing these card openings.
@@sudospective I mean now he can for sure, but in the past it probably cost him alot to do, since he collects more then just pokemon cards maybe just one TCG would be reasonable to collect in for a normal person multiple is gonna start putting most in the red. Hes probably fine now though this video probably could afford him another old pokemon booster pack box, overall though I wouldn't doubt if the box with the packs was more expensive than their combine earnings from the pulls because the prices got super inflated thanks to content creators going crazy for them to do opening videos like this one some even getting scammed with altered packs/boxes.
@@Notaforumguy007 I mean I agree with you that it's fricking crazy and unachievable for the average person, but a lot of things RU-vidrs need for videos they can write off their taxes. Idk if that's the case here.
I can't wait for Charlie to grade his whole collection. Prices we see are always based on PSA 10. I want to know the real-world value vs advertised. Then we can find out if he's an addict or a collector lol
The reason foils curl is because the foil layer cant absorb or lose moisture but the paper layer of the card can so as the paper drys out or absorbs moisture it expands or contracts but the foil layer stays the same size causing the curling. You can use silica gel packs or a cigar humidor to uncurl foils depending on curl direction, silica for forward curl, humidor for reverse. MtG foils have this problem too.
