What a visceral 14 minute journey this video is. I think this movie and the music are a testimate to just how amazing art can be, when done correctly. And also, just how necessary it is to the human experience. The way they captured the raw emotions and make you feel such achey, melancholic lows, and then so eloquently build you back up with such vivid and incredible layers of emotions. I’ve watched this video many times now, and I currently find myself watching it whilst in the throws of a very enjoyable mushroom trip, and I’ve got to say that this video and Oppenheimer as a whole, is the absolute pinnacle of what film was meant to be for humans. The casting, directing, cinematography, and musical excellence, make this one hell of an emotional and artistic accomplishment. But what do I know? I’m just a guy on mushrooms. 🍄 However, I will say that I believe I’m correct in my assessment. Cheers.
I haven't even seen Oppenheimer yet but listening to this for first time, burst into tears. Weird sort of melancholy mixed with optimism. Amazing how music can do that
Wow, I have watched this video half a dozen times, and each time it gets better. Thank you for sharing your ideas! It is heartbreaking to watch the Real Oppenheimer saying,” Now I become Death, the destroyer of worlds.” He looked so broken and spiritually destroyed. Kudos!
Ashton, After having a pause of 5 years, I listened to your orchestration and I must say, I am overwhelmed of your track! This is such a fantastic work ! Thanks, this is just amazing ! Go ahead with your fantastic work.
I perceived that it was a great compilation of the Oppenheimer soundtrack, not just as a string of events of the drama, but as a monologue of the character, presenting composure and profoundness . Thank you, Ashton Gleckman .
Out of curiousity, why'd you leave out Can You Hear the Music / Quantum Physics theme? Also, how long did it take you to make this mockup? It is super well done! A 'behind the scenes' of this will be awesome 😁
Wow. This is an absolutely wonderful arrangement. I have completely worn out every movement of the Oppenheimer score, and yet you somehow managed to extract the marrow of the score’s soul and present the music in a way that essentially makes it feel new again. The portion from 3:16 to 4:45 is truly incredible, worthy of a Hollywood movie trailer. While I can only speak for myself, I think we can all agree, this is what we come here for. Cheers, my friend.
We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried. Most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad Gita; Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and, to impress him, takes on his multi-armed form and says, "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds." I suppose we all thought that, one way or another.
I couldn't imagine how I got addicted to such music. The mind is completely glued to this masterclass of Oppenheimer. I would have heard 100 times in a single day. 00:51 to 3:12 and 9:08 to 10:44. Peak of music 9:48
Your music was very successful in this movie that turned humanity's greatest invention into a huge drama! Hans Zimmer should have composed the music for this movie!
Лучшая музыка, она ещё и максимально стилизована под фильм, то есть все как единое целое. Еще и есть как бы "подготовительные ost'ы", например, как у "Can you hear the music", то есть вначале "сглаженная", мягкая часть, а затем уже полноценная. Еще и эти потрескивания при радиации. Идеально
