One of the most interesting things about Robin is that as an archeologist she's used by Oda to tell us a lot more about One Piece world building... Because it's her that will tell us a lot of what made the world of One Piece the way it is...

I don't care what people say about Skypiea, the humor in this arc is so good, i could watch eps of just Luffy-Sanji-Usopp trio shenanigans lmao also love the dark humor Robin's bring to the crew😂 she's really smart and knowledgeable too.

It really is a great arc, i think a lot of anime fans don’t enjoy it because it’s not your typical anime arc with fights and stuff but i noticed people who has little or no experience with anime/manga they enjoy Skypiea a lot because in the end it’s a great story arc and people who get into the story and history behind it, they will enjoy it. Which is why i enjoy watching people who has little experience with anime react to this arc because they focus on the story more than the fights and shounen tropes.

@@igoonx15 what i love the most about OP are the crew dynamics and the adventure feeling, so i really don't mind when there aren't a lot of fights😃 i agree, it's fun to see non shonen/non anime fans react to these arcs!

@@bluelight17 same, i used to like fights when i was young but as i grew up i realized that i enjoy stories more than fights and One Piece is just that, sure it has fights since it’s a Shonen story but i get annoyed when people say this arc doesn’t have good fights and that means it’s bad, same thing happened with Fishmen Island arc, the fights were not that great but the story is arguably one of the best in one piece. So yeah, i tend to enjoy watching people who doesn’t have experience with anime because they focus on the things Oda want you to focus on, which is the story and the themes explored in these arcs. In fact, i find one piece more fun with no fights because the stories are just beautifully written and it’s such a shame a lot of people thinks that “good fights=good arcs”

Yes Robin like Indiana Jones. Adding her to the crew enrich the story with bigger plot and mystery of one piece world. That's why One piece is the greatest fiction ever, it's not just action, humor, friendship, drama, politic but mystery, myth and spiritual aspect. It has very very deep stories.

Since the thumbnail showing the Shojou ship mast .. imma drop some FUN FACT which impressed me as a MALAYSIAN myself .. SO On the Ship Mast , it says ""MORINOHITO"" ... so in Japanese , MORI = Jungle , HITO = PERSON ... so , Mori no Hito means JUNGLE PERSON in Malay or Indonesian , Jungle = HUTAN , Person = ORANG There is a Species of Great Ape named Orangutan that can only be found in the island of Borneo, the East Part of Malaysia ((Malaysia, SABAH)) and Kalimantan Indonesia right below Sabah and Sarawak , and that Great Ape (orangutan) looks exactly like Saruyama Shojou... Bellamy looks like an Indonesian , while the Shandian Warrior really looks like The Borneo Headhunter from the weapon and outfit the Diversity in One Piece just Chef's Kiss .. it surprises me alot .. 3 THINGS that I think a MASTERPIECE in One Piece , its the Character Handling , World Building and Story Writing

This arc is one of the most adventurous (if you hadn’t watched the breathtaking world of one piece u would have enjoyed more in wondering if the sky island actually exists or not which is a key soul of the adventure proposed by Oda in jaya)

Oda didn't think alabasta would be the last arc. He thought he would be able to tell the full story of one piece, up to finding the treasure and maybe a bit more, within 250 chapters. He was very wrong lol

The log pose gets charged up with magnetism at each island, they have to stay at the island for certain periods of time to charge it up, its the only way they can find the "next island", Nami charts and navigates the islands so they can find islands they have been to before but not the "next" island. The log pose is an important tool for them, not much is known abt them other than that.

Takoyaki is fried "dumplings" filled with grilled octopus. I ate them in Osaka and they are so good! Must be careful when eating though cause they are super hot inside lol

At this point in time, I'm sure you guys have seen Whitbeard and the rest of the major characters in the series. Whitebeard is truly a very important character. Blackbeard too as well. The rest of the Seven Warlords of the sea, another vice admiral by the name of Tsuru, and the Fleet Admiral of the Navy Sengoku, and the highest authority of the world government, depending on the translations, they are called the "Five Elder Stars", "Five Elder Planets", in japanese pronounced as Gō-rō-say.

This arc kicks off with a Falling Ship of all things, this is where 4Kids Dub version ended, maybe they meant, Strawhats got smashed, end of series😢 By the way, Filler arc before it ended with a fairytale style, and that blew atleast my mind..the reveal of that little story in the end..woah...and this Arc picks up in the anime from that end in a seamless order, in the middle of the Grandline, a Ship falling from the Sky...so for you guys this was an abrupt start.

The joke with the Masira Pirates and the reason why his crew keep repeating "Salvage" is just a catch on words in japanese. You see, they don't have the L on their alphabet so when saying a word originate from the western roman-greek alphabet they just adapt. Instead of La, Le, Li, Lo, Lu. You get, Ra, Re, Ri, Ro, Ru. So Salvage becomes SARUvage. One of the way to spell monkey in japanese is saru. That's where the joke bit of their chant comes from. Salvage Monkeys.

Alabasta was never going to be the end. Oda thought his manga would take about 5 years to make because he's really bad at guessing how long it takes him to get through a story. There is early concept art from before the story was started that includes beta versions of characters you wont meet for another 300 episodes. Oda is amazing at planning ahead but has no idea how long getting there takes.

Idk if it just felt like you didn’t focus while buggy was telling about whitebeard or maybe it’s just that personally I would have given more of a reaction when he said Whitebeard was the only one to fight neck and back the Roger the king of the pirates. If you feel like things are just happening randomly and from out of nowhere just know that Oda is a big troll and comic 😅, and likes to insert comedy bits especially during this time. Japanese comedy is usually more slap-stick than western comedy and they like to use the straight man trope a lot. Sometimes it feels like oda will think of a comedy skit and will try his best to just insert it into the story somehow 😂

I dont think people call Skypiea a Masterpiece..but they do praise it for World expansion and Storytelling greatness..this is where Cultural aspects of each island starts to develop in the series.

Juses! stop calling everything ''FILLER'. Fillers are the parts where Anime production made on their own when anime catching up manga, which being checked by oda to make sure that they must not get anything to do with the original manga story. so they have absolutely nothing to do with the story. that is why they are being called with the word ''FILLER''. Every story, every arc needs build up, information introduction telling, can't be stratght to the climax without them. they suit their purpose in the story as they are and they are original from the story by Oda. Stop calling them ''FILLER'' because that would mean they are meaningless to the story and not made by Oda, but that's obviously not the case. Call them ''Build up episodes'' or whatever. But Do Not Use The Word ''FILLER'' to Call Them. That word means absolutely different thing.
