I had a conversation recently where somebody said they HATE how OP luffy is... and im on the opposite side of the spectrum, FINALLY a hero whos OP after YEARS and HUNDREDS of episodes of him getting stronger not just for himself, but for his friends and loved ones. This goes soo hard knowing he BUILT himself up to this, not just some random level increase or born op.
Since when is Luffy OP? There's a long list of tough fights and losses. There's also a long list of fights where Luffy needed help, couldn't do it on his own. This was Round 2 with Rob Lucci, and Luffy's been through more than Lucci and grown more than Lucci since they last fought. Of course he wins. And even then, it wasn't a clean win. He couldn't protect Sentomaru at the same time. He doesn't have Observation Haki or Future Sight up at all times, didn't know Lucci had just taken down Atlas until he wandered into the scene.
@@parzavaal5335 but he didn't win in a clean 1v1, he lost 2 times and had a bunch of people fight kaido before him, so imo there was no way of luffy beating 100% kaido in onigashima.

Little fact, the reason luffy is almost never truly angry is because his power doesn't want him to use it for malicious intent, it is the literal power of his imagination, yeah, HIS OWN POWER... NERFS HIM (emotionally)

Luffy's fruit is based on imagination not rubber meaning that everything he imagines comes true so basically the limits to his powers are the limits of his imagination.
