To be fair, she had a LOT of help. Shanks' daughter Luffy's childhood friend, good chemistry cute anime girl and had a lot of advertisement.... So she had a lot of shortcuts... Imagine if she didn't have so many advertisements... And imagine if she was just some filler character rather than a movie character??? That would erase a huge chunk of her existance. And imagine if she was only Shanks' daughter or Luffy's childhood friend.... having both makes her more special... especially since we know so little about Shanks....
Ig that's what Luffy meant when he told Ace and Sabo, "Being lonely is more painful than being hurt," he felt alone after Uta and all the others left :/ even his grandpa too ig cause Garp is out all the time
To be fair, it was the same case for BOTH of Luffy's brothers... Ace wasn't always planned and neither was Sabo.... Oda's story evolves with time... as does Luffy's history.... Oda decided to create her because he was tired of all of his movie villains being OP old men with no real relation to Luffy... So he created Uta to counter that. The childhood friend bit and Shanks' daughter bit were to tie her into canon and give her a better boost in popularity... And being in a movie means people CHOSE to watch it rather than a filler episode people could have ignored... And having a bunch of ads means she gets added a lot more easily into people's heads. But let's be honest... Luffy originally didn't have a brother... and then after Oda did that, he decided much later to make a 2nd one for Luffy.... so adding a childhood friend is kinda normal at this point...
@@TheDeathmail no, Ace has both parents visible and exact birth, Sabo also has both of his noble parents. While Luffy has no parents to be seen. Only his grandad. His dad is so far away and who the heck is Luffy's mother? Luffy just spawned and Garp + the bandits took care of him
I think you're right in a sense. Maybe Luffy didn't even realize it but he greatly loved her company and wanted to be side to side with her. That's why he felt so alone after she left and was heartbroken when she didn't return
Why these people talk about sweet love dovey couple. Do you not have a childhood friend? Some are sucks i agree but still, I just see a strong bond friendship between them.
I find it so out of place that Uta gets thrown in to the canon story but at the same time it gives Luffy even more reinforcement to why he wants to become stronger. He has gone through so much and yet he keeps going. Not just for himself, but others that either actually died or believes they died.
I notice one scene where Luffy actually blushes, I dont think I ever seen him blushed before. Or at least, to a girl. Tbh, I am fine with this being canon even if its filler. As you said, it gives Luffy even more development that makes him who he is.
@@MrNiceGuyPh Based on the Manga, she is, but in some weird way. I can't say I'm 100% for I haven't seen the movie or more things in the manga about her
That is why He appreciates His Brothers and Nakamas so much that He wants to protect them with His life, because he was lonely back then being always left behind 💔🥺
Abandonment issues? Poor Luffy, he thought he had lost Sabo at first (believed Sabo was dead for years), saw Ace die in front of him with his crew seperated from him, never had any parents (litterly got abandoned by Dragon as a baby), the mother probably dead. Garp seemed to care more about work than family and keep leaving Luffy behind, left him with strangers, later on dumped him with bandits who did not want him. Ace and Sabo gave Luffy a hard time, them not wanting to be his friend at first. No wonder Luffy hold on to his friends so hard. He did say getting hurt was better than being alone.
I know how that feels. I haven't seen any of my friends from primary school and high school for years and I try to meet up with them but I'm free when they are busy and I'm busy when they are free
now it all makes sense to me luffy's dream is pretty much like uta but in a much better way and wht luffy wants basically is build a new genesis which is freedom for people all around the world and make the largest food banquet
I can't remember fully but I think this is only the second time where luffy was genuinely crying because he was sad. then again I have not watched all of one piece so yeah, might be wrong
He cried when the going merry was gone, he cried when he couldnt save his friends from going teleported, he cried when Ace died, and he cired when he thought Sabo died.
@janushunyadi9612 she's Still alive The character and her backstory is cannon The events of the Movie are not Cannon tho So Uta never starts her plan or summons Tot Musica or well Dies so in Cannon shes alive
@@vidadyerfer3205 She appeared in manga chapter 1055 as a silhouette and the movie is non-canon so maybe her death is non-canon,but she herself is canon so yeah maybe uta will reappear in manga
It is consistent with Luffy's personality. For example, his crew didn't know that Shanks was someone special to him until the incident where Garp goes to see him. Luffy is not the type who likes to tell his past and also not to know the past of his nakamas. A guy who likes to bring joy instead of thinking about the most painful moments.
i think shanks may be a charachter with 0.0000001% probability as he just left that half red girl and also in one more case he stopped kaido in marinford war knowing there is huge chance whitebeard can be dead

I don’t know much of One Piece. Saw the first 50 episodes and I just got tired...but I will admit I cried a few times... But from the look of it...it seems that Luffy had a crush on Uta. But please don't hound on me if I am wrong. The last thing I want is to start a war over One Piece.
After learning what Uta did to Luffy and everyone else in the movie I just can't bring myself to forgive her for her actions, not only that she scarred Luffy with pain of loneliness, she doesn't even care what he's been through, thinking he lost his brother Sabo, to be in the helpless in Sabaody against Kizaru, Sentamaru, the pacifistas, and to Kuma sending his crew flying, to watch his brother Ace die before his eyes, she only cared about getting things her own way, either trying to get Luffy to quit being a pirate or kill him, not to mention she was pulling the same stunt the world government did eight hundred years ago, making a world of lies and making everyone a slave whether they acknowledge that or not.
she was not mentally stable and she had gone crazy right? could be a side effect of the mashrooms she ate in oreder to sleep, she also had abandonment issues with Shanks, not saying she is to forgive, her actions were awful but I understand that she was not capable to care about others, she had too many issues with herself
Sanji says in the movie that the wake shrooms Make you act more aggressive and act out and she was eating a LOT of those before and throughout the movie
@@AnonymousEnigma19 We have zero idea if she knew ALL the side effects of the wake Shroom Sanji is the only one to bring up the ither side effects all the other characters just mention Death and nothing else
Nope, but it will give you the sense of their backstory a little more, call it an appetiser. The events of the movie is non canon, but the things that happens in the movie would canonically happen if Oda ever decides to choose that route. Meaning irl, UtaxLuffy interactions, Uta's powers, backstory, relationship with Shanks are all canon, approved and vetted by Oda, if they ever come across one another in the main story.
