I mean, the first attempt doesn't count cause Luffy had literally no way of touching Crocodile so it wasn't a matter of strenght. In actuallity, it took Luffy 2 attempts, and in the second attempt, he was doing hella well
@@kingvortex-m1n So what? Many characters lost to pre gear Luffy. Crocodile mainly lost because he underestimated Luffy. If he had decided to make sure he's dead and not leave him half alive, the Straw Hats' adventure would have ended quickly.
And still was almost defeated the moment someone learned his weakness showing he wasn't that strong. Also, Enel was only OP cause no one could touch him since, well, Logia user.
crocodile yes but not enel, he only got kenbunshoku haki. luffy was physically so much stronger than enel that he wanted to stay away from him as far as possible.
@@roguetank3526 That wasn't because Luffy was stronger, but because he was immune to his attacks, so, he was an anomally and someone Enel wanted to keep far away
@@vcamv2354 luffy was stronger than enel, he beat him so easily on the arch that enel restricted luffy with a big golden ball and threw him from his ship. enel did this because he was no match against luffy even with his kenbunshoku haki. enel is only strong because of his op devil fruit, against haki users or in this case luffy who is immune against his lightning power, enel is not that much of a threat.
@@roguetank3526 I never said Luffy wasn't stronger, I said the reason Enel feared him was because he couldn't hurt Luffy due to his immunity, and since he couldn't, he sent Luffy away as he had no means to defeat him without being defeated first or being at a huge risk.
Anyone who said luffy's not the same anymore after gear 5 should watch his old feats like this one and see that he's always been goofy and childish and bring a smile to people face
I think he has it but he underestimated Luffy too much to use it, there's no way a pirate could have a bounty of over 1 billion without any haki, except for Buggy.
@@srcreeper02550 as new world veteran he should've learnt or at least known haki before...but the reason he was not seemingly using it during alabasta arc still remain unclear...either oda has not invented concept of haki or he was too carried away with his logia devil fruit
Kinda a wild take considering it took Luffy three times to take Croc down, and he needed to be bailed out by a curious Nico Robin to get that far. Almost like it was a massive struggle and he had to earn it.
