The Enel Face, one of the greatest moments of anime history. As iconic as the Scream or the Mona Lisa. In no other works of fiction will you ever see a major bad guy with near god-like power or ego make that expression. Aizen, Pain, Sukuna, none of them would ever make that face because either the art style won't let them or the author don't want to damage the villainous cool-factor. Only in One Piece can a bad guy make a face that stupid and still be regarded as a major threat. All hail GODA-SENSEI!

Nice to see that you are enjoying One Piece. I've been watching it ever since it came out on TV. You'll love the future arcs. Oda created something special with it.

Looking back at this fight Enel is so much tougher than I remember. In my memory he was a glass canon but that's not the case at all. He never actually trained his physical body because he didn't even know it was possible to get hit but he can take a beating damn well. Considering this is probably the first time in his life he got taken down by somebody else, the fact he keeps getting up and keeps going is impressive. SPOILERS AHEAD Also, he can not only use Haki without even knowing what it is, his spatial observation specifically could be the best we've seen even at the current chapter in the manga. This mfer has Island-level observation and people still argue who is the best sniper without remembering this guy who can aim at something on the other side of the Island without even having to see it or move. If he actually trained, he would be top 10 for sure, not even counting his DF being broken AF pre-timeskip plus before awakening too. I hope we get to see him back from the moon.

Fun fact: When Luffy is lifting the golden ball onto his shoulders, he calls it a "kintama" (金玉) which is japanese slang for testicles.

This really is a great fight in retrospect, it encapsulates everything about luffy, a goofy boy that will take down even a God.

I caught up! God a lot of this was hilarious, I love Usopp lol. Plus the Enel meme face, so much good stuff. You were absolutely correct with the rubber idea, and at the very last we saw Luffy beat up Enel for a bit. In terms of villains it's interesting since Crocodile pretended to be a hero while manipulating the people to their downfall. Enel though is literally an unstoppable force, he just makes people afraid through power. We have to see what will happen next time, thanks for the video as always!

I really love these moments with Sanji so much. XD He and Usopp make a great duo, much like Usopp and Nami. They're just so silly and their banter is golden. It's also curious 'cause Sanji is a bit of a liar, as he went out of his way to *save* Usopp instead of being okay with him dying. I assume Sanji only said that to help Usopp focus on other things, then just his fear of what is to come.

Episode 183 is my favorite just because we get to see Luffy showing off his battle smarts to counter against Enel's Mantra. One thing I liked that Luffy mentioned to Enel is that while he is powerful there are tons of people in Blue Sea who could kick his ass and he's NOT wrong about it either. Like Zoro in the East Blue, Enel doesn't know how big the world truly is.
