I agree snake man doesn't really count as a power up , rather it's a showcase of luffy's insane battle IQ and durability. If katakuri had more durability he would absolutely demolish Luffy .
@@boujmalmohamedamine8430 keep in mind that Katakuri forfeit the battle in the end he never lost to Luffy. In reality Luffy won Katakuris character giving him a hope that he will set him free from the grip of his tyrannical mother
Dressrosa sorry I spelled it wrong but dress and marine ford katakuri does take the win but marine ford kat should be at 128k while luffy at 67k cuz luffy would be able to get a few punches in at least and use his advanced haki or sml or make something like how he made tank man and like 3rd gear so he should be able to make like bullet man? kat "gave up" bcz he knew luffy's potential was GREAT and he wanted big mom to be put down by someone since he cant do it physically and probaply emotionally since she is his mom, katakuri loves his family unlike big mom, katakuri has a winged tattoo on his back which represents freedom YET he isnt really free, he puts a scarf on his face and uses a persona thats not really him also him and his family suffers from big mom's tyranny so he let luffy escape because : 1. above all else bcz he knew in the future he could put linlin down and that would liberate his family which is thematic with luffy's theme of gear 5 the liberator so narratively it makes sense 2. he likes luffy, he was smiling when he learned that luffy escaped totoland 3. he respected luffy a lot in conlusion you just cant kill a person that u like, respect and also he could potentially be the person that liberates you and your family... like just put anyone in katakuri's position and he would let luffy escape
