"Cabin crew prepare for departure", words I always love to hear. I miss flying. I love the A380 and really disappointed it's not going to be produced more than the current orders.
@@SirDeanosity Singapore still keeps it. One of the Best if not the Best commercial aircraft in My opinion. Very stable. Never sat Concord before so can’t comment much on it.
Yes indeed those 4 engines weight 795,000 lbs. plus the jet fuel they’re burning and all the thrust they put out I can’t imagine the stress they put on the plane wings
@@TheodoreRizzo dude ur saying each enginr weights 90 tons lol its impossible even saturn 5 rocket engine f.1 weights 8.5tons and its wayy bigger than this engine
I never knew an A380 sounded like this. I always heard a 737, 747, 757, 767, 777, 787, A319, A320, A321, A300, and A330 as well as a A340, but NEVER knew a A380 sounded like this!! I thought the A380 was the quietest of all, but actually I changed my mind that it's actually the BEST sounding yet!!!
Take off power and high climb Decibels is what is being heard. At cruise height it is then only probably around 10% of and accounts for 99% of the flight. I have used this aircraft since 2009 when Singapore Airlines commenced it's operation and is one of the quietest jet's operating throughout the World.
There is something ethereal and mystical about that sound, as if it was from another dimension. The A380 is a great plane that will be sorely missed by millions of fans.
Damn, it takes a lot of horsepower and runaway to lift that beast off the ground! The modern jet engine is truly one of man's most brilliant invention, able to run for thousands of hours maintenance free through rain, snow and sun.
can never get enough of the vortexes coming off the engine cover strakes.....hit the wing and up and over....shows airflow in front of and over the wing simply amazing how air pressure can lift such weight
Wow ! Kind'a neat to see another airliner going--at least for the moment--taking off, This is certainly the 1st time I've ever seen this type of event occur. Thank you.
2:59 is when you hear the the thrust as the engine's are lifting this plane which im sure is probably close to being fulled load at over 1 million pounds amazing sound
Safest plane in the sky with zero accidents resulting loss of life. It is the most comfiest plane I've flown in! Just a majestic flying beast the A380 is
I usually like the 777 short-field takeoff sound but I pulled this up and I’m like “OKAY, I see you A380” 😂 now we get 4 engines making that roar instead of just 2. 👍
You’re right. I’ve lived near EWR my whole life and hear the takeoff roar so much that it is like regular background noise. Whenever it is raining, it is a way different sound. Hard to describe...I guess deeper and more pronounced.
I have flown on 747s many times. It always seemed to take forever for the plane to lift off and slowly gain altitude. I bet it feels like forever in the 380
Many years ago a famous musician, up on a speeding charge he wanted to defend, tried that one. “At 30 mph, my engine sounds a 2nd octave A, M’lud. My perfect pitch tells me so. I could not have been doing 40 in a 30 area.” His defence failed.
