Another wonderful vid from you - thank you! Your timing, pacing and content is spot-on (as they always are) and I really appreciate your editing. Late afternoon and early evening flights are my most favourite - I always try to schedule those when returning home from business trips - and your shots of winter evening sunlight over Frankfurt, as well as the immediately following views just above cloud level are stunning.
I made note not to sit in 27F, that would be very annoying. That was some turbulence you hit on the way back, I can tell from your face it was not fun, and you fly a lot so that's saying something. Did you manage to eat the sandwich during it ? I can't eat when its that bumpy, it would make me turn green. Another great report.
+When I Travel The World The sandwich was okay, I did eat it once the bumps had calmed down. It wasn't much bigger than my fist though! Most of the windows on that aircraft were misaligned, it really bugs me!
Awesome video Paul! I really enjoyed it. The music fits perfect to the weather and the airport scenes! I hope in future there will be a good balance between airplane and rail videos, I like them both, but you don't really find some high quality rail journey videos like yours on YT! Keep going this great stuff! :)
+OEPNVInternational Thank you! Well, stay subscribed and you'll see some more train videos this year (I agree there aren't many great train videos about). Still to come this year are a trip on the GWR Pullman, the iconic Milan-Palermo sleeper (where the train goes onto the ferry to cross the water), another Caledonian Sleeper video from Fort William in midsummer, the Highland Chieftain, and possibly the Welsh Premier Service. All in First Class. Oh, and not forgetting the Empire Builder in a roomette from Portland to Chicago, a three-day epic trip. :-)
That was a choppy ride for a wee while, turbulence is not nice for some flyers and heavy turbulence affects even the hardened traveller. Lovely video, keep them coming.
I was really having a hard time making a decision about how I should travel but I think, all things being taken into account, that one should always go first class.
I had that bad turbulence on my flight to Dubai. I hated it it. I think I hated it more as it was my first Long Haul Flight and first proper Turbulance. I got a really bad headache but I could put it down as I was in FC. Well Upper Class anyway. It was even worse as I was eating at the same time
3:19 I love it when there's a bus transfer it makes the journey more fun your just as bad as my nephew if you don't like it go live in Canada or the United States where it is nearly always a jet bridge!
Why do you hate buses? It doesn't seem to be normal practice to use buses at US airports but in my opinion, ramp buses allow a free tour of the airport and for avgeeks,a great up close photo-op of parked aircraft.Really surprised that only water was offered inflight,no coffee or sodas.
Not entirely accurate to say BA give nothing in short haul economy - with BA (CityFlyer) on this route you'd have got a either a bacon roll, salad or snack depending on time of day plus free drinks including alcohol.
+ZaBaHD small dirty dificult to get to no business class lounges! ok landing is awesome but unless u live right next door to it its a ball ache i had to fly to berne from there
TOBLEROWAN123 I love LCY and it's simple to get to if you work or live in the City or Canary Wharf: from anywhere else, it's a pain, I grant you! But then, if it had a bigger catchment area, it wouldn't work as a small and efficient city airport. The great thing about City is you can turn up close to your flight, check in and be through security in minutes and not have enough time to need a business lounge. I hate Frankfurt airport though.... 😠
