This is one of the many interviews Daniel Simone did with the late Henry Hill in preparation to jointly write their upcoming book, The Lufthansa Heist. Release is expected around the fall of 2914). Daniel Simone wrote the story in a cinematic and suspenseful style, dramatizing the largest, unrecovered cash robbery in history. Interestingly, the armed robbers were never caught and thirteen people attached to the heist were killed.

The book is fantastic. Really well researched with lots of new insight into the heist and the people involved. Anyone who enjoyed "Wiseguy" or likes true crime stories should pick it up.

I Rember reading Wise Guy in around 1995 few years after the movie Goodfellas and the crazy thing about it honest to God and anyone that read it can a test to this , when you read it you can hear the music from the movie through out the book it's crazy . If you watched the movie first read the book and watch how it plays through out as you read it. There are way more details and the names are the real names in the book like the last names I mean. Probly one of the best books I've ever read I honestly read it in 2 days .You can instantly see why a movie was made on it and it's just fantastic. Wether alot of it was over glamerized or not alot of it was true , Henry never claimed to be a huge made mob man his situation was unique cause he grew up in it from a child all the way up to an adult so he could flow in and out of certain people and situations freely . Sure he had to kick up but he wasn't made so he wasn't pinned to one area of the city reporting to one capo. His crew which was run by Jimmy dis scores all over the city they moved freely. And that was the interesting part of his life.

He was betrayed by those guys first Paulie slept with Genrys wife Karen then di Simone wanted to take advantage and tried to rape Karen and dared to blackmail Paulie who was breaking a law in the Mafia that forbids made men and associates alike to hang around with the girlfriends and wives of made men and associates and Henry was an associate and Paulie a Luchesse family. capo ora Mafia Captain that to is why di Simone was killed and dissapeared forever And Jimmy Henry begged Jimmy not to kill Marty but he did it anyway and also Stacks Edwards was also Henry s friend In a word he has to become a rat it was his life at risk coupled with the betrayals he did it gladly and and I salute him for what he did that life is a cesspool of betrayals murders and evil that's it

How come I didn't know this interview was taking place( lol) , Stacks was portrayed ,great in Goodfellas , but Tommy DeSimone was the best ", Make the coffee to go , love that scene . ", ENY .$$$$$$ ********** The Vans was filled , that was true , not just cash there was 2 million in Jewelry taken , and there was old bills too ! And does any one know who got all the gems and jewels, I over heard from a little bird that they were all sold in the Diamond District , Kathy Burke is in the Jewelry business , and so is Jackie D'Amico (the Nose ,)Al DiGangi , and did the Mob operate on 47 Street ?
