It’s long enough that it is perfectly balanced when rolling. You don’t feel the weight of the contents. I’m 6’1” and have never had an issue. My bag is over 20 years old.
This is is a niche product aimed at professional flight crews who need durability above everything else. Lightweight bags don’t really hold up to the abuse that commercial crews put them through.
These bags are for airlines crew who don't have weight restriction like we ordinary mortal travelers do, certainly no traveler in their right mind would buy a 14 lbs carryon .
