I especially finds it extremely interesting that Hololive would really tell their talents to take a break if they think the talents are overworking themselves, willingly or not. Compared to a lot of companies who not only wouldn't care, even encourage overtime work... this is an extremely kind treatment.
Yagoo is not just any CEO. He is a truly nice guy. He cries for his talents when things are going badly or they have to leave, he sometimes, as the CEO, just makes coffee for guests, is willing to participate in whatever stupid idea the girls get, and the list goes on. While he is probably less hands-on these days, I think the company philosophy comes from him, and I truly believe he cares about the girls and their wellbeing.
Every vtuber always says how holos are always so busy whenever they collab or are asked to collab (for example Ui talking about Subaru and how she's super busy all the time or the IDs talking about when they could plan a big break and go somewhere for vacations only to hilarously find out they were booked for almost an entire year) It wouldnt be far fetched to think that this is a consequence of something that happened within Hololive, perhaps in the past they overused the talents causing severe burnouts and maybe some even threatened to quit, thus because Hololive has shown that its capable of learning from their mistakes, the health of the talent now comes first to them and allows them to have breaks so long as they are told ahead of schedule
you cant compare id to jp talents schedule, id don't have things like recordings for many things and promotions and collabs for other company. and her games are child like games so its not stressful in her.
POV : you don't understand how long Kaela stream actually are. Even if you do, you don't notice she actually have homework at the same time (as a student and Holotalents)@@burstaho9835
@@digitalyoutuber154 20+ hours a day? if I remember correctly youtube livestream is cap at 12 hours🤔 if its true, them damn! ID don't have so much time for streaming.
This really shows the value of talents being able to have a personal relationship with their managers. They can evaluate how individual performers are and use their personal judgment for such matters.
Typically if a workplace upholds these things, it's due to laws. Case and point: 40 hours work week, 360 hours yearly overtime at max. Mandatory 11 hours rest between work days. Of course there are companies ignoring these things and finding loop holes, but generally speaking a company that adheres to this isn't doing you any good, they are just adhering to law.
@@Finsternis.. Or it's a rare corporation with an _actual_ code of ethics that it upholds both for law abiding, and to maximize productivity off of the worker in both short- and long-term.
As much as we give the talents a lot of praise and credit for Hololive's great success (and rightfully so), I don't think a lot of it would have been possible were not for the equally amazing managers that are there to help them all. They really deserve a lot of praised and gratitude for their work as well
i dont want to discredit the good managers that they do have, but remember that there have been quite a lot of stories of bad managers over the years. gen4s first manager was awful, apparently. as was lamys first manager. EN had disastrous management until less than 2 years ago, the mel incident, rushia didnt get along with one of her managers at one point. and thats only the stories i know, from talents i follow a bit closer. while a lot fo the personal managers are doing good work, its not all just idle sunshine.
@@rasurin all but two talents contributed to hololives success, not all managers did. some in fact did a lot of harm, like lamys or irys'. people shouldnt blindly praise them and remember to scrutinize cover. _that_ is the point.
@@srkares You basically just said the same thing twice. "Not all talents/managers contributed to hololive's success, and some of them did a lot of harm". While it is true that not all managers were a good fit for their assigned talents, a lot of them were good. While it is important to criticize Cover when they mess up and remember the mistakes they made, it's equally important to praise them for the things they get right. Also, it's kinda dumb to just say "We shouldn't praise any of the managers because some were bad". That's like saying "We shouldn't praise any of the talents for being great people since some of them weren't".
@@digitalyoutuber154 please point to me where i said "We shouldn't praise any of the managers because some were bad", because im very fucking sure i never wrote that. you are _literally_ agreeing with me ("While it is true that not all managers were a good fit for their assigned talents") and im _literally_ doing what you write ("and remember the mistakes they made") so i really dont understand why you felt the need to write your reply. but if you need it, i can spell out the rest of it for you too: yes, while there have been a few terrible managers, most of them are amazing, especially these days and they deserve the praise. better now? my point still remains to not make a blind sweeping statement of "all the managers deserve to be praised too", because thats simply not true.
It's literally suffering from success. But as long as all the talents and staff are taken care of, then it's way easier to deal with streaming being on hold from time to time.
I think they get suggestions to do streams that are trending but outside of sponsored streams I can't see them being forceful. Probably depends on the talent and manager.
@@Lahdee Yeah, but is there ever a line or quota that if they don't cross then the company has no choice but to let go of the idol? or do they just keep going until they get better at it
@@thunder-blitz5344 Nope. Several of the girls sat below a certain subscriber/viewership threshold for a long time and never got in trouble over it. Hell, it's pretty common for the talents to take extended hiatuses for several months and still keep their job. Cover's incredibly lenient about that.
Why assuming others don't? They only give us crumbs of their off stream work/daily life after all. Even Lui in this clip just talked about it by chance
Erm, what make you think like that? The facts that you think other members not getting told to take a break proof that you dont care, and just to bait people here. Am I right? Because: Kiara, been active for almost 4 years, finally decide to take a break after got force to take a break and finally take a break. Anya, been active for almost 4 years, finally decide to take a break after got force to take a break and finally take a break. Marine, been force to take a break often due to her throat problem. Pekora, been force to take a break due to her throat problem. All IDs members, force to take a break and they plan to take vacation together. Kaela been on Watch by her manager everytime she stream, and force her to stop and take a break. Calli, Ina, Ame and other EN members. Many more if you really watch the talent themselves, because talk about this got buried inside one of their stream. Also, being warned/told to take a break doesnt mean the talent will follow it. Some will follow it (especially that already have health problem), some will ignore it.
We know that others have been told off before, for example Korone and Kaela among others. This is just one of the few times we get told that the managers themselves also get warnings.
