Luigi went on to create a perfect world. A world where he and Mario could live peacefully, forever. He made Mario into an iconic hero to repay him for all the kindness he had shown to him in the mortal world. We know it as the Mushroom Kingdom. A place where Mario's kindness and heroic personality could shine. Sometimes, Luigi would take on human form to join his brother on adventures. Sometimes they played sports together, drove go carts around and even hosted giant boardgame nights with their friends.

Honestly I never really perceived them hating each other, I always saw them having brotherly banter and kinda being polar opposites. Mario’s more domineering while luigi’s more timid but they care about each other regardless.

Something I appreciate about this video and the Sweaty Luigi one is it characterizes Mario and Luigi as being good brothers to each other. In both vids Luigi could have easily killed Mario but he doesn’t cause Mario actually does treat Luigi right. Too many cartoons on RU-vid are “Haha Luigi hate Mario cause Mario more popular” and I’m glad Lumpy goes in the opposite direction

Considering the logic of Mario games, technically the elder mushroom powerup's effects can be reverted by either damaging Luigi once (if it is a lesser powerup, like mushrooms, fire flowers, tanuki tails, etc.) or by waiting until the effects run out (if it is a greater powerup like the Super Shrooms)

Given his track record of giving out items to cause disaster at random and then leaving their "cure" in a random spot that just so happens to be in clear view so someone is guaranteed to find it (the magic paint brush and then FLUDD in Sunshine), my guess is E. Gadd. Watch, we'll see Peach or Yoshi (maybe Daisy) stumble upon some flower that gives them an ability (albeit still in a monstrous way as this is still Lumpy Touch we're talking about here.) that allows her to defeat or even cure Luigi when the power corrupts him. All while E Gadd quietly observes his catastrophe from a safe distance for the sake of his twisted research.

Mario knew he couldn’t defeat or save Luigi new form, so instead he wants to be with Luigi one last time. Luigi, who remembers the good times with Mario, saw this, and allows Mario to be by his side, like they did before the change. The Superstar only runs out on it′s own time, not from any enemy damage, so some power-ups can technically last forever without enemy contact being a end to them. Plus, being a elder god kinda comes with invincibility, as not being stoppable within any known means is a big part of their horror appeal.

This is like when gandalf died. For him, he spent ages drifting through the galaxy exploring worlds, other dimensions, but for us mortals, is was only a couple of days. Luigi evolved and spent eons observing the universe and came to the realization that he had the power and responsability to create a new one, more beautiful and enlighted than the current one. Despite all the time that passed, gandalf remebered his friends and his old name, as does luigi.

1:47 I see this is the Mario from the Mario and Luigi RPG games, not the mainstream series Mario, who was a bit cold to Luigi, and *definitely* not paper Mario who would rather take a Goomba as a sidekick over his own brother.
