My favorite part of dark moon is the mansions themselves, so seeing them recreated so well especially given the fact that minecraft has so many limitations is incredible. This is easily the best Minecraft adaptation of the spooky mansions I’ve ever seen, bravo on the dedication!
This is why I keep up with the Minecraft community despite not playing the game very much anymore (if at all). I love seeing what people come up with, and this did not disappoint either
1:30 I love the attention to detail with the music, IN the real game, When you're outside the music sounds more distant and less of, When you walk in while the song is mid-playong, it'll adapt and play the inside version.
This is honestly one of if not THE best Minecraft build I’ve ever seen! This is literally my 2 childhood games mashed into 1 masterpiece! I’d love to see you do the mansion from 1 or the hotel from 3 eventually! Also the fact that you have what looks to be a Luigi skin just fits perfectly with everything else!
@@yoshibot4258 Thank you!!! I’ve considered remaking The Last Resort, and am still on the fence about it. IF I eventually do, I’ll post a little teaser beforehand ;)
I originally played dark moon on the DS, so i replayed it on the switch through the hd version and man this so damn accurate to the game! Good job with this project! 😊
Oh my god you even did the music per location whenever it gets played like in the actual game. My favorite is still the haunted towers. I felt like it was not only the most unerving but mysterious. We also got to even see the ghosts of the former owners! But pure creepiness goes to the Secret Mines even Clockworks. Although Treacherous Mansion is still a close rival in my favorites. Amazing job it is absolutely incredible.
this is actually so cool to see i always wondered what it'd be like to explore the mansions from a first person perspective and this more than satisfies that curiosity amazing job man
I've always dreamed of doing thia but never got another 3ds after my old one broke, so I couldn't get a direct reference to build from. It's so outstandingly amazing to see the whole game built in Minecraft!
Lugis mansion was my childhood this game i got for my birthday so long ago I got the game data double star two times Sadly i dont play it anymore since my 3ds and 3ds cartridges are dead Even tho is really limited is really accord to the game i love it^^ good job!
39:07 Fun fact : I remember this teapot hiding a boo. It was a pure nightmare to capture because I didn't understand as a kid you were supposed to push the teapot over the campfire to make the boo appear. Your amazing builds bring me back so much memories about one of my favorite childhood game, through another wondefull game that Minecraft is. ❤ Over you for all the work and the love you put on the details.
I love this map dude, this game I cherished since it first appearance in 2013, with the re-release out now this minecraft map recreation makes a good revival
It looks really great, keep up the great work. If you want to expand on this project a bit more you could also create the battle areas under the workshop in secret mine, and warps to locations to the train boo fight, knight fight from the portal on the Terrance, and the battle areas and running sections in king boo’s fight.
I have actually been working on a Minecraft map for Luige's Mansion 2 and 3 for a few months now and the 3rd game is posted on planet Minecraft for download with about a third of the hotel completed and 2 and a half mansions in dark moon built. (Dark moon Map currently not posted), Great job on this great detailed recreation.
extremely accurate and well done, currently playing through the HD version and played through the original countless times and i can recognise every room
Imagine using the Create mod, working clocks, moving high wires with seats to ride them, to make the tornado of crows at Haunted Towers using spinning stained glass, elevators, and the ejector at the later mansions
Wow, every build actually looked amazing! The cave/more natural parts of the builds especially impressed me, you did an exceptional job on all the caves!
@@ItsMeEnduur If you have Java 1.20.6+ you can play it! (Sadly it wasn’t made on Bedrock, so if that’s all you have your out of luck.) you can find a copy of the world file and the instructions on how to download and play it in the description.
I never played minecraft (idk i was never rly interested) but i had to click on ur video because luigis mansion 2 is one of my fav games and you nailed every single room! I loved watching it and comparing it with the og game and its beautiful.never give up and keep going with ur creations 💜 If u dont mind me asking are you also planning doing luigis mansion 1&3 or just wanted to do luigis mansion 2?
One suggestion I would make is to use a Nether Portal for the portal at the back of the Treacherous Mansion. Whether you do the room on the other side is up to you, but it would be pretty cool. The circular effect and purple border can be done by encasing the obsidian square in a circular purple concrete frame or similar
And also purple glass for some parts like the lightning connecting it to the frame in game and also further out from the main border for a transparent ghost energy feel
From top left to bottom right in the thumbnail, we have Gloomy Manor, E Gadd’s lab, Haunted Towers, Old Clockwork, Secret Mine and Treacherous Mansion.
I can't stress enough how much I love this. Question: did you put anything in the chests where the gems are located? I know this is really hard, but I think it would be so cool to be able to interact with the mansions some way or another. For example, collecting golden ingots from random chests or the gems, but also add command blocks to the teleporters so you can _actually_ use them (and don't need to change to spectator mode). Although, I think you can't use them in Java lol But anyways, you already did that quite enough and it's already incredible as it is, seriously!!
@@fresas_king. I cannot stress enough how good this comment is! I didn’t incorporate the gems, because I forgot where half of them are LOL. I’ve also considered going back and incorporating command blocks into the builds, which would be really cool, but I have NO IDEA how to use commands like that. Perhaps one day, if I’m bored enough.
Can only imagine the amount of whiplash it would have been, to be sent from the warmth of the desert only for the next location to be the cold wintery mountains.. yikes
@@TheEverything164 Like, the Belfry (I think that's its name, the one with the tall ladder)? I looked at a video of that cutscene and built what I saw in that cutscene.
The attention to detail man. Its been years sense I played this game and somehow this gives me immense nostalgia, like I'm actually experiencing the game again. Amazing job. Also you are a MASTER at closing doors behind you what in the world
@@mrblaze-xv6fv Thanks!!! It’s a lot harder than it looks to close doors behind me, especially when I can’t see my cross hair. There’s a point in TM after I leave the sand exhibit where I miss the door multiple times in a row lol.
I really hope you'll eventually decide to work even more on this and use world painter to fully add in the whole of evershade valley to this map, because if there was one thing that kinda ruined the immersion of the map was the mansions all being lined up in a row with the superflat world visible down below.
This is genuinely awesome. I bet it took a lot of work to do this. :D Edit: At the time im typing this, i just saw you only have 74 subs. How are you so underrated?
Thanks! It took a while, making me go slightly insane in the process. I didn't expect this video to BLOW UP (for my standards), as opposed to all my other videos.
Gloomy manor - amethyst Haunted towers - emerald (even though the sign text color matches the gem color) Old clockworks - ruby (even though the sign text color matches the gem color) Secret mines - sapphire Treacherous mansion - diamond
If you just add some teleporters to make the unique paths and the actual teleporters usable, this would be an amazing map to play for things like hide and seek!
