A little bit of jank makes for a good adventure.
This is such a simple concept for a mod that unexpectedly turns the game on its head in several ways. Motion sickness wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, and I had a blast playing through it once I got comfortable with the controls!

Just watched Area 1 so far, It is almost disgusting how quick these Boss Ghosts are going down

I appreciated that you mentioned the thing with Madame Clairvoya's face coverage (1:48:54). I, too when I was in my childhood playing this gem, thought that this was her mouth and that she had a huge gap between her front teeth. You always think you're alone with these weird misinterpretations, but apparently it's more common ^^ Cool showcase of this mod!

Man, there were parts that had me so intrigued on this game being first person. Such a fun mod and playthrough of this in first person. Nice video!

HI! It's really late as I'm writing this, but I just wanted to say that I've fixed the major softlock you experienced in the Tea Room. Just waiting for the hotfix to be processed online... I am SO SORRY about that, by the way! That wasn't always there. I mixed up something while making the latest update, and I didn't bother playtesting everything like I did in the past. Hopefully there hasn't been _too_ many downloads since then. 😅 Seriously, I wish it didn't take until watching this stream to discover the problem... But better late than never, I guess. At least you had fun! 👍 I have yet to finish watching this, but it's really cool seeing those speedrun strats done in first-person. Your commentary is also nice and informative. When I can, I'll definitely watch the rest later!

Oh wow, thanks for updating that! I'm glad I got to play it all the way through in the end because the Area 3 and 4 boss fights were my favorite part. I updated the video description to link to the download page, and I hope that others give it a try!

@@elite_spud You're welcome! ...Unfortunately, not everything wrong with the update has been addressed yet. It seems that disabling Luigi's idle animation breaks his reactions to certain attacks, which I realize is something you experienced with the bomb in the backyard. Looks like another hotfix is due. 😮‍💨 My apologies! This should be fairly quick to resolve. I guess 'v1.1.5' will be basically non-existent, unless I actually add new things that don't break the game... (Perhaps a 4th wall to the Lab and some control improvements would suffice.) If that does end up happening, I will test _every inch_ of the mod before shipping it out. Promise!

@@SkyBluigi I really appreciate all the effort! I understand that sometimes it's just the nature of things to break in unexpected ways. But if I have the time, I'd like to give hidden mansion a spin once the fixes are in place :)

@@elite_spud That'd be cool to see! You might be surprised. Another hotfix is being processed right now. Hopefully it makes it through this time. (It already failed once...) I was going to try giving the mod an overhaul, but my schedule is too packed to do that very quickly. With this last hotfix, I hope it's enough for now. I appreciate your understanding! Someday, I'd like to make it up to you and everyone else with a v2.0. 👍

Could you make a VR version that makes Luigi’s animations stiff so that it’s less throw-up inducing when using dolphin VR? It be greatly appreciated. But still, this is great.

Your beautiful! and I love Luigi’s mansion!! The second is my favorite it came out when I was a kid! I was 6! Now I’m 18 just about! So great video!!! Love the first person mode! Super cool concept and great video for your channel!

It would be really cool if they could add a sort of VR adaptation to this mod. I don't think this is too out of field considering that (if you look it up) Dolphin has a VR mod with the game Metroid Prime. Almost like Phasmophobia VR, you could go around as luigi and look at the ghosts first hand. I think it would make for a very unique gameplay experience.
