Tim Curry was the worst cast for Gomez, Jim Astin, Raul Julia are are iconic and I think Luis will be added to the list of Iconic portrayals of Gomez Addams.

Gozmán is a great actor, but I think he has more supporting roles than lead ones. He does them magnificently though. First saw him in 'Welcome to Collinwood" (The Russo brother's 3rd movie as directors) and though he is not the main cast, he owned every scene he was in. Even though his main line in that one was 'Your mother's a whore!', which he shouts with both conviction and enthusiasm.

The original Gomez was not meant to be handsome..that's the whole point

Luis will be perfect, just watch. The only other actor imo that would fit Gomez is Danny Trejo. Though I kinda wish Danny would've been cast as Lurch.

Get off of Depp's nuts for a while & ween yourself off of his smegma! Tim Burton ALWAYS uses him in just about every movie he does. There's enough films out there with Depp in them for at least 2 more decades. ENOUGH with Depp already! It's Depp overkill already & anyway he *_ALWAYS_* plays his character roles the same way *_ALL THE TIME!_* You either get a new character in which Depp plays that character as Capt. Jack Sparrow (which by the way, it's been overkill with all the Pirates of The Caribbean movies, they're just cash grabs with the same garbage repetitive story lines) or he plays a character in that same ol same ol Tim Burton-esque type of way & unless you're an UBER fan boy of Depp or something others are just sick & tired of getting Edward Scissor Hands being played out in every "quirky" Depp movie. Give that Troll Luis Guzman a shot at least.

It's been pointed out that Luis Guzman looks very much like Charles Addams's drawing of Gomez. You've been spoiled on Raul Julia, great as he was.

Raul Julia was absolutely iconic in the role, but Guzman bears a striking resemblance to the original and he is hilarious as hell, so i am excited to see him in the role

@@chadstchad Hypocrisy? Lol Guzman literally looks very close to the original Gomez from the comics. It's a very well cast role as far as I'm concerned. Morticia was always tall and beautiful and the original Gomez was always more rotund
