Time after time over the years my judgment has been bang on 90% of the time, however reflecting on Luis Palma I’ll happily admit that I think I was a bit harsh on him. All the Greek football fans (the ones who have seen him in full matches - not just highlights) I have seen comment on this lad through RU-vid or Twitter all say he’s a top player. I’m willing to trust them on this. Don’t get me wrong, Luis Palma still wouldn’t be anywhere near my first choice, but I will back him 100% if (when) he does sign! If he’s anything like our dear Emilio Izaguirre was, at least dedication wise and hardworking as him, then he will fit very well in our club! We need player who can put in the work and sweat the jersey like it’s their own skin.

He's absolutely pish, their scouting system is woeful if looking at Palma, pissing their money down the drain,long may it continue and the best one of all... He wouldn't get near celtic's bench never mind the first team. So suddenly now he's a superstar, make a difference and Rangers will be kicking themselves for not signing such a good player. The players agent contacted Rangers trying to whore him about Europe.

Here’s my thoughts… PRO’S ✅ * Good set-piece taker * Versatile - can play LW or CF * Comfortable on both feet CONS ❌ * Not very fast * Poor dribbler - less than 50% dribble success rate * 7 goals in 20 league games last season - for a star attacking player that is far from great * Expensive - bid made of £3.5M (not accepted yet so could well rise even further than that) * No experience in a top league * Project player - just another gamble * Many better alternatives Verdict? 4/10 👎🏻 It’s fairly obvious to anyone with two eyes that Luis Palma is just another average winger with no real star qualities or potential. Every key attribute you look for in a winger this boy does not possess - speed, flair, dribbling ability, goal scoring, he doesn’t have any of it. I truly don’t understand what Celtic want him for and he’s absolutely not going to take us to the next level and he certainly won’t help us compete in Europe (not just UCL). I’m absolutely gutted at this potential signing and for all our sakes let’s just hope it doesn’t come true!
I've got a very knowledgeable friend over in Greece. He's a Panathinaikos fan and he really rates this player. He can play in an attacking central midfield role or play wide on the wing. You say his goalscoring record is poor, but for the positions he plays in it looks more than decent to me. I'm really suprised you rate him so poorly. Also if we can get him for around 3.5 mill to 4.5 mill I don't think that's particularly expensive, it's within the amount of money that Celtic are willing to spend. You also say he's got no experience in a top league, well the Greek league is a decent level, I'd say stronger than the SPL and he's also got international experience with Honduras.
Jota was a reserve player for Benfica and had several loans where he was distinctly average and blew up for Celtic. His goal-scoring record was worse! I would trust the Celtic scouting system over you any day of the week mate, no offence. The model is to buy players, develop them and sell at a profit, thats how we survived in Scotland and the other mob died.. HH
Seems good freekicks and can find pass but for winger I don't see like awesome dribbling n doesn't look mad fast either .. I was excited about this guy but after watching this all can do wish him best luck hope he rips it up here at celtic 👍 Little under welmed
He not one of those wingers (Neymar type) he do his job, he omit the dribbling stuff, he goes for it right away. He’s that guy trust, he’ll do nasty stuff in Scotland

And I'd die happy man today if scored hat trick against that mob today lol
