I'm here after Ghana and Uruguay both eliminated from the round of 16. Ghana was pretty much given up at 88th minute then Korea scored against Portugal. Ghana picked up their intensity, determined to defend and take down Uruguay with them. They did just that, sweet revenge on Uruguay, still sad to see what happened years ago though...

It's certainly unsportsmanlike. But yeah, he accepted the red card and the PK you can't say he cheated really. He broke the rules and accepted the consequences, he probably saved his team, but there's no denying that this is among the scummiest things in world cup history.

@Leaferr you're confused. someone breaking rules, cheating, lying, scamming, stealing, etc is still scummy even if they successfully do it. it doesn't suddenly become an OK thing to do because it helped them out. any player can decide they're a goalie and cheat a whole team out of a goal by literally knocking the ball out with their hands. what's the point in playing and having rules and positions then? it's scummy and weak, and ruins the game for everyone.

@@MrSilverfish12 because a goal matters a lot more in football. Penalty goals means that you have to precisely write down when it will be awarded. In football Philosophy, nothing is considered a sure goal... It's either a goal or not a goal . So the punishment can never be penalty goals... That would ruin the game's spirit for sure. Yes Suarez did that dirty but at any other moment of the game, he can't do it . Also, a penalty kick is an almost goal... The goalkeeper is always at a disadvantage. But Ghana couldn't deliver it. It's kinda a like a reward for the team who defended almost till the end.
