One of the greatest 9s of all time and we are not appreciating it. 31 goals and 12 assists in the Prem, missing 8 games and taking 0 penalties. He also did this on an underwhelming liverpool team, elevating the quality of the players around him (inadvertently getting Sterling sold to City).
As a Uruguayan this might seen a bit baised but, In my eyes hes one of the most successful footballers to step on the pitch and will always have a place in my heart ❤
As an American, I am not biased either, and agree he is one of the greats of all time. One of my favorite players to watch. I admire him and Barcelona for taking him at a very low point and giving him a chance, which he sure made the most of.
No bias my friend, he is in my opinion 2nd to R9 as far as greatest strikers ever, and a case can be made for him #1 but that's a convo for another day, on top of that to be 3rd ALL TIME in assists is absolutely ridiculous, one of the greatest to ever step on a pitch without a doubt.
Simply Brilliant!! What a country is Uruguay!! 3 million total population but has gifted us football fans with the likes of Suarez, Forlan, Cavani ,Francescoli , Recoba, Darwin Nuñez, Fede Valverde, Godin, Josema Gimenez, Araujo! Much respect , a force to be reckoned.
That goal was the best goal. I have never seen anyone else do that: running forward and being able to control a ball with the shoulder/upper chest while running and elude the goalkeeper in less than 2 meters. There is some insctintive intelligence on Suarez that is unique. That was his best ever goal, IMO.
@@andynorman6175 Yeah when I finished watching this video I went back to see if I missed it without noticing haha. It really is a ridiculous goal. Controls a 70 yard long ball with his shoulder while running full speed with a defender on him, then rounds the keeper (defender still on him) and scores into an empty net. It should be in his top 5.
@DDeglane16 Suarez is a much better player than Griezmann but the thing about Griezmann is he's a very intelligent player, he can do a lot of things for you and he was amazing in the Euros that season, had France won it, I think Griezmann would've won the ballon dor
What makes him so ruthless is his movement off the ball, timing of his runs, anticipation of where the ball will be, simplicity and calmness in front of the net. One of the most underrated players of all time.
I wonder what is really going on? Such a wall of hatred and false accusations. I started looking at his career when I heard those false accusations about "racism". I realized that he must be an an enemy of establishment or "appointed" to be their enemy.
@@jj6392 somehow they made him an "enemy" with all their false and negative accusations. Somehow they decided to make boogie man out of him. Lots of media brleivers think that he is "racist" when in fact he has native indian blood in him
@@jj6392 people forget about him and just think lewa is the best, im not saying lewa is bad but suarez is just a level above lewa. Lewa is world class and suarez is a legend
One of the most crafty, intelligent and technically gifted strikers of all time. Whatever you might think of the man, you cannot deny that he is one of the all time greats.
Luis Suarez is an unelievable finisher but not a technically gifted player. He is not good at dribbling and gets a lot of misses in terms of passes, first touch etc. I think his weapons are his finisher abilities and his work off the ball.
@@louminezachee2412 I disagree wholeheartedly. There isn't a striker in the history of the sport that doesn't have bad touches, dribbles, passes etc. So your argument is flawed. The reason why he is technically gifted, is because he has abilities that require excellent technique i.e his acrobatic volleys, his ability to weave in and out of tight spaces, his ability to bend free kicks like Beckham and so many other examples. He is technically gifted and this is a fact.
@@kh7688 I don't share that vision of football. According to me, a technically gifted player is Ronaldo R9, Samuel Eto'o, Romario and why not Thierry Henry. Those players are all clinical finishers but they were really clean compared to El Pistolero in the aspects of dribbling, touches, passes and mazing runs.
@@louminezachee2412 You just gave me names, as opposed to evidence. Your opinion is incorrect and misguided. It's ok, I'm here to teach ignorant people, as long as they're sincere and open to learning.
@@kh7688 I respect your opinion but if I should describe Suarez, I wouldn't say technical gifted, it's too much. May be you don't know the players I gave you as example but they were those you can call technical players. Eden Hazard is technically gifted, not Suarez who is just an incredible finisher and those players could do the same role as Hazard in their respective teams and score a lot of goals.
One of the greatest Number 9s of all time. Criminally underrated. Being the top scorer of La Liga consecutively in an an era dominated by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo is not a matter of joke. Prolific in all senses to say the least 🔥
As a Liverpool fan he is the only player I've seen where I felt excited every time he got the ball. And we've had some good players recently! He always made something happen. His strength, power and determination. Not to mention other worldy talent. Never injured, an absolute monster.
One of the best strikers ever to grace the beautiful game. He lit every league and every team. I'm not a Liverpool fan at all but loved to watch their matches only for this man. He was simply mesmerizing and outstanding for Liverpool. He touched another level while in Barcelona. Though they had Messi and Neymar already this guy cemented his rightful place amongst them - MSN....a legendary troika. But his exits from Liverpool and Barcelona were a shame on the clubs part. Keeping his bouts of biting aside...he is one of the best footballers for generations 😊
I've never in my life seen someone equally good at strong and weak foot bicycle kicks.... Never even noticed it until this compilation. Suarez is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in history, underrated for sure
now Barcelona is little bit learning from real Madrid that not to respect club legends😪Suarez was something else a complete striker he showed outclass performances but I don't why even if was old but he knew how to score goals he was ten thousand times better than Braithwaite😪I really miss suarez but he shows us that he can still give best performances in la liga
Arguably one of the best strikers of all time His control on the ball , agility to move from tight spaces ,insane Long range shotting ability, volley, bicycles, overhead kicks , headers , clinical finish , setpiece. This guy is a different no 9 . Miss you Luis ♥️💙
As a Liverpool fan this man is hands down the best i have ever seen at the club! And that's saying something with the players we have had over the years!
Suarez, One of the rare offensive player who scores complicated goals. The majority of his goals he scored them at the moment when we the watchers are not ready, even the goal keeper is not ready, every time you need to see the replay of his goals to understand what goes on because you didn't expect a goal in this situation
Disagree, you can phase him out and have pacey players around him. Loosing both of them will be a crazy level blow to barca. Bartomeu is just taking the club to the groundb
Missing a lot of his outrageous goals scored for Liverpool, including the Newcastle shoulder control one and that slalom dribble through 3 Man United players only for Kuyt to pinch it an inch from goal. Suarez was truly a generational talent, managing to shine even during the era of Messi and C. Ronaldo
That 13-14 season was just amazing. As a Liverpool fan, last few years have been amazing but nothing comes close to what he made me experience that year. He was just a king.
Thank you for everything you have done for Barcelona, Liverpool,Ajax and Uruguay💙... Suarez is undoubtely a legend and one of the best stricker of all time
I've been a fan of Barcelona since the days of Ronaldinho. I watch the matches of my favorite team without missing a single one. The best nine is Suarez for my time. I remember many matches when he was dragging the team. Thank you so much.
He has performed brilliantly in most of the classicos he has played in. No wonder Madrid fans always had a fear of Suarez. A complete striker, one of the best strikers of all time. Luisito❤️
The best volley taker of all time 💙❤️ The all time best CF for barcelona💙❤️ The 3rd top scorer of all time for barca💙❤️ A Living Legend.. Luis Suarez 💙❤️
One of the best strikers of all time. Absolutely no weaknesses. I feel he was under appreciated at barca but that will always happen when you play with messi.
Absolute poacher. He can shoot from distance, he can dribble, he can do acrobats , he can be a playmaker. LEGEND. And great video mate, deserves much more likes.
@@sth_fahmabobo525 suaeez shits all over R9, I'm 41,i watched both in prime, injuries make R9 second best Also suarez could score a goal from anywhere, from nothing. Ronaldo9 was always just pace and shimmy quick feet.
El mejor 9 de la historia para mi, este tipo superó a todos los 9 hasta el momento literal, he visto a Ronaldo Nazario también pero Suárez ya lo superó en todos los aspectos.
That last back-heel goal is Suarez in a nutshell. He plays so unorthodox he sees the picture and catches everyone off guard. Also the way he strikes his volleys is just so unique and sublime. One word genius
Luis Suarez must have the flashiest top goal compilation behind only Messi. This man scored absolute beauties. Stunner after another. Outside the box. Bicycle kick. Volleys. Nutmegs and dribbles. Free kicks. From the half line. Even backheel. This is as complete as striker can get. Man scored all kinds of goals. Literally.
The only player on the planet who can miss like two or three clear chances in one game and then score backheel curve goal over the goalkeeper... the genius himself
One of the greatest comps ive ever seen!! The attention to detail was immense, love how you left the parts where Roberto ran into the post and the sound of the ball rippling the net in the goal vs PSG !! Thanks!! 💙💙
Yes he's been inconsistent for a while since last year. But he's been still the one who Messi can rely on and Messi's connection with him is best for last 4 years. But I don't know why most of the culers keep criticize him for last 3 years!!!
because he doesnt press, he's physically fucked up, can barely run and get speed, you know, barça became a great club because of its playing style and hardwork, now we have a barça where we have 3 top players as strikers including the best in the world, but no one press, high pressing is really important for our game and we cant press if we have 3 guys that dont want, thats why suarez is criticized, there are more important facts in football than just scoring amazing goals
everything has an end. its time for Suarez to move on. he cannot perform at the top level now, its affecting his body, he can barely make runs. the Suarez of 2015 is no more, what remains is his amazing goals and memories. its time to find a successor.
@@singla4163 that you problem and not only your and also Barca managment.... Mascherano left.. and no one said uuu we need someone like him to block all conter attacks , in stad got Dembele, cau.. , grizman etc... but all we need it is defense... it seems not many who understand football; you need defense to start the orientation towards midfield or forward , if its goes mid than u need mid to cobtrol and deliver to forward... now if u defense and mid suck than all sucks unless u have someone like messi but messi alone can not do it + he cant runn so much anymore. So instead of thinking replacement of iniesta or neymar... they need it find defense + keep A. Melo + use Asu fati and all done but they use roberto as midfield and roberto is 70% defense and in mid his rating is 60% and that ere he plays now midfield lol
Will forever be my favourite number nine😍 Suarez' 2015-16 season was definetely the best individual season a striker ever had. He deserved the Ballon Dor in 2016 but got robbed and didnt even make the Top 3👎🏻🤮💔
When I was in my Chinese high school, Barcelona went to China play against Guangzhou football club. That was the first time I saw Suarez, and his volley that day was so impressive that I still remember that kick today. Suarez's volley is simply out of this world.
@@hernanrilla4963 Thats exactly what I always think. Lewandowski is the without a doubt the best no. 9 in football atm but despite that I think Suarez is a better footballer. He could help any team with his class and he could go for any play or trick to defeat the defense by his own while Lewandowski more relies on teammates and is not known for his dribbling (though his touch is insane, as well). Coming from a Bayern and Liverpool Fan who watched both of them play every weekend. For me Suarez and Ibra have been the best strikes of the 21th century outside of R9.
Suarez should be in the same sentence as giants CF like Van Basten, Gerd Muller, Ronaldo and Rumennigge. He is one of my favourite players really intelligent off the ball, the king of volleys, really strong and emotional
ruthless, strong, cold blooded, egoistic and sometimes an absolute asshole. that makes him a complete striker and surely one of the best centre forwards ever
This guy is a monster. He could/can make all kind of goals in a variety of a broad repertoire(Ajax,Liverpool,Barcelona and now Atletico). Many times coming back from an injury or sanction, being away for weeks and not even shooting penalties, could make more goals than all others competitors
Phenomenal striker, the sort of player that would frighten any defence & the player you would want in your team. So focused & a true warrior, superb technique as seen in this comp.
I was at Nou camp for the over head kick goal v Seville in 2019. Ive been lucky to see Suarez play and score a few goals in the flesh. Absolutely brilliant player and will go down as a barca all time legend.
He is surely one of the best no 9 in the world no no 9 could reach his level . My favourite goals are the ones he curves the ball like the one vs real socied and the one vs psg after nutmeging David luiz
