Luka Doncic’s Incredible Start to the Season | The Dunker Spot Film Breakdown 

Hello, friends! I hope you enjoy the first of (hopefully) many breakdown videos from us! We had a ton of fun putting this together. As a reminder, we'll be on the channel every TUESDAY with our usual episode of the podcast. And in general, Steve and I are watching a bunch of hoops -- and tweeting out clips -- throughout the week. Its been a while since I caught an episode from The Dunker Spot but from when they started initially I don't remember them having game footage and always thought that it was what was missing that would make their videos much more digestible. At least for me, I like pairing what I hear with visuals. If you guys can add arrows or basically more ways to better illustrate to viewers what you guys are talking about, it would take it up another level.

These very very small movements that luka do, hard jab step, deceleration, fake look away, stance switch makes him one of the best scorers of all time on top of being an absolute powerful force of nature

If you think about it, Luka Doncic won a championship in the EuroLeague. What's more, it's really amazing that he's even won the MVP award.

This format makes a lot of sense for the type of analysis you guys do - also very complementary to the stuff jj does. Great initial vid with a lot of promise for the future.

He's a great great player. A control-the-action player, but that little detail vs the Bulls of the skip pass to the deep corner so that Green has the extra bit os space and time...just incredible, absolutely incredible. Great stuff as always gents, never miss a pod, waiting for a new 2k draft and gameplay soon.

Love this! As someone who got into basketball pretty recently, film breakdowns like this are really helpful for understanding the game and deepening my appreciation for it. If I had one suggestion, the company should get y'all a drawing tablet so you can make arrows, point out line of sight, and leave things circled for longer.

I wonder if JJ thinks Dallas has a shot now lol. Lively and Grant are doing great in my opinion and Luka seems to be more awake defensively this season.

Great breakdown. One thing I like about the Mavs...they aren't playing my turn your turn basketball. They have a clear plan and a clear leader. Kyrie buying in is extremely important.

Great breakdown fellas. There has been a very lazy narrative surrounding him that he plays just like James Harden, largely in part to that stepback. He's definitely closer to Lebron with how he reads defenses.

this luka is a lil unsustainable tho. he's takin more than half his shots from 3 - that increases the variance game to game in both directions. the 2023 celtics prob if you will. right now the variance has been in his favor hes shooting 42% from 3. for context in a single szn hes never shot over 35.5% from 3 in his career.
