The players overall value.* *Jokic numbers are historic‼.* He basically averaged a 26-point nearly triple double on a crazy 58%. He's also the ONLY all-star caliber player on his team who's 2nd leading scorer (Murray) missing 25 games. - he finished top 10 among 450 players in total points (5th), rebounds (3nd), assists (2rd), steals (8th) and true shooting percentage (10th) - 1st in Player Efficiency Rating, 1st in Win Shares, 1st in Box Plus Minus, 1st in Value over Replacement Player - Jokic literally has the best plus minus in the league (-682), SGA has (+614) and Doncic (+319). *That means he contributes more to his team than any other player in the league‼.* He also is not a stat padder. I lost count at how many times SGA came back in the game in the last 2-4 minutes eventhough they were up 20 plus points just so he clukd get his 30 plus points a game. *Ball hog Doncic is #1 in usage rate. @LunaticTheCat .. I think there were legit arguments I could make for Luka, Jokic or SGA (I did say Luka before the playoffs though).. To me, personally, I thought 34/9/10, while winning 50 games was pretty damn convincing.. Jokic did have a great season, but I think a 2nd MVP should be harder to win than the first and the 3rd should be even harder to win than the 2nd.. and I didn’t see him do anything that he hadn't already done.. plus I thought he actively helped his team lose the #1 seed (which actually would have made a difference).. they choked that away.. and he wasn’t good in those games.. Jokic coasted through parts of the season (understandably) and Luka was spectacular, night in and night out.. and that 70pt game was just absurd.. so he also had higher highs, imo.. also dealt with a lot of injuries to his teammates.. after Embiid went down, I thought Luka actually had the best individual year.. I can’t be mad at Jokic winning it.. he’s putting himself in the convo every year, for sure! I just don’t think he’s really a 3x MVP caliber player.. 2x definitely.. but 3x to me should be the result of being more dominant than anyone in your era.. and I think there are a few guys who are putting together similarly awesome seasons..

@empireoflightz their one on one defense effects overall team defense . People don't want to get to the rim if ad is there . When true holidays is locking down plays get broken . You have to look at how one thing can effect another .

I'm a Boston fan from Texas, living in Oklahoma. Dallas and OKC are the only other teams I watch. A Boston finals against the Mavs is a perfect scenario for my sports mental health 😂 Dallas is killing it but I do want to see Tatum and Brown beat Kyrie but they both gotta make it first. Hopefully both teams keep it up because these playoffs have been exciting.

This is sport. Luka had a TERRIBLE game. He couldn't do half of the things he used to do. Then he scored the most important shot, and he is MVP? Really? This game was terrible for him, it was his worst game in this season.
A better *scorer*? Really? Better overall player, maybe (I actually prefer Luka’s game).. but I can think of like 9 or 10 better scorers than Jokic.. Luka and Embiid are tied for #1 in that category to me..
@oodlesnnoodles8670 .. yea I see what you’re saying.. I guess we just have different definitions of great scorers.. To me, Jokic’s efficiency as a scorer is more based in his decision-making and playing the point.. he’ll only shoot when he’s the clear cut best option.. so his shot selection is geared towards efficiency (really, his whole game is.. that’s what makes him great).. Luka is looking to be a volume scorer and makes the pass when a teammate is the clear cut best option.. but his craftiness can get him a good shot anytime, anywhere.. Embiid looks to score even when getting doubled and sometimes tripled.. but he scored more points than minutes played, which is absurd lol.. So there are different ways to look at it.. probably just preference when it comes down to who the “best” is..
@@gbmbg114 I’m not saying Luka isn’t more skilled. Clearly he is , & can do more things with the ball. But being 7ft almost 300 pounds is going to make it a lot easier to get a high percentage shot. Not to mention he is a much better post scorer than embid. His touch around the rim is crazy. Embid is a better shooter & flopper, who takes more shot attempts. I don’t think he’s a better scorer either
I'm laughing because luka is obviously the best player still in the playoffs and he's white. Everyone was happy because jokic got eliminated because they hate him because he's white and the best player in the game. But luka is the 2nd best right behind jokic. Their black savior Edwards has been horrible in the last 5 games. Shooting 33% from the field. The 2 best players in the nba are white guys lol. They absolutely hate it but they can't do anything about it.

the only reason people of any color would be looking at the game and wanting a “savior” that’s the same color as them is if they’re living vicariously through basketball players instead of living their own full potential or at least striving to live their full potential.. When you find that thing where you can be Luka Doncic-level or Anthony Edwards-level and you really dig deep and go for it and climb the mountain, then you stop thinking about things as trivial as color and you start to respect their expertise and grind and creativity for what it is..
