I hope for an all star game coming up they have a US v the World game. I'd love to see Jokic, Luka, Giannis and Embiid share the court against a US team. It would be amazing and I bet both teams would actually play at least 80% instead of the 50% we usually get.

Also Chuck is right that Luka has to learn to play off ball, that this isn’t good for his development - but there is a reason that Luka has to play that way, it’s not fair when people throw accusations of “ball hog” at him

A lot of Dallas's offense is thru Luka pick & rolls with a big and when Luka get a drive or shot he obviously didn't get assisted (even though the pick is pretty much half an assist) and if he passes to the big, he assists and doesn't take the shot. Unlike Lebron, who sometimes will sit in a corner and let D wade or Kyrie take a play, Luka pretty much always handles the ball when he's on the court and therefore there aren't many scenarios where he gets assisted. To Chuck's point, that means most of the time the other 3 guys are just spacing the floor and maybe getting a spot up 3, they aren't really touching the ball much which makes them cold and miss shots and therefore Luka now has to score 60 to win. It's a bad cycle that will get worse if they don't play more team basketball.
Chuck is saying that somebody should initiate the offense other than Luka. He needs to be comfortable taking spot up jumpers or cutting to the basket. However, to Kenny's point since there is no other offense initiator Luka is forced to be like Houston James Harden.
He isn't forced. They have Spencer and now Walker buy Luka just stands when he is off the ball that's why he ends up dribbling the air out of the ball like Houston Harden
@@collllllll Kenny and Charles are both correct. Last year Brunson is the alternative but in this season J.Kidd is not comfortable with Spencer that is why i said Luka is forced. Walker is not playing that much with Luka because that would be two liabilities on the defensive side. To Barkley's point Luka is A+ when he has the ball but has a lot to improve on when off it. He needs that is why Charles was asking who else is playing good on the team. I think what he meant was who else is playing at an all-star or star level on that team.

I really think there is no debate on who is winning mvp. its "most valuable player" and not "best player" its technically the same, but the mavs would be in the bottom of the table without luka, while for example boston would still be top 3 without tatum. mvp is between luka and jokic and thats it

Why would he run around off ball when his teammates will just throw the ball away. If you put Luka on a team with actual talent he would be able to do what you want from him. If he tried that now the Mavs would be a worse team for it.
@@kevinmclain6741 Because his teammates can only reliably make swing passes. Anything more difficult than that and it's at least a 50% chance of a turnover. The amount of times they turn the damn ball over because they can't dribble or shoot is atrocious.

I agree with Chuck, im a Mavs fan but i cannot say they are contender cause of Luka having the ball 90% of the time. He needs to give up a little the ball, let them dribble and them to get their own shot. This is why KP is unhappy before.
