@@jamesmccaul2945nah Stephen A is literally racist. He literally gets pressed when white coaches that are qualified get picked over black coaches with no experience or ever even worked as an assistant
@@rektz2457 chill bro, that's literally the hardest possible thing to do in the nba lmao, maybe he will, i hope he does so i can live it, but let's not fantasize too hard here.
Who the F is this Steph A guy ? NOBODY ! ABSOLUTELY NOBODY !He NEVER EVER accomplished anything in basketball. Why the F media keeps on imposing him to us ?
Shannon actually had a great point at the end. SAS was talking about getting bounced in the first round, but it’s true that Luka was far and away the best player in every series he’s lost.
This argument works both ways. Luka numbers are obviously better due to usage, I mean come on, the dude has the ball more than the Larry Obrien Trophy.
The biggest thing I get out of this is that Tatum was only drafted 1 year before Luka. Why the hell does it feel like Tatum has been in the league for 10 years?
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: Luka will be the LeBron and Tatum will be the KD of this generation I’m a die hard Celtics fan and I’ll accept that Luka is the more talented player. Tatum is the better defender while Luka is the better offensive player. I’ve been watching JT since high school and I’ve been blessed that my favorite team drafted him. Tatum and Luka are both Top 5 at this point in their careers. I’ve commented this before and I’ll say it again: this could be a Bird and Magic rivalry in terms of talent. Both are top 10 all time, Magic is Top 5 tho. But I’ll also stand by the fact that the media will never mention Tatum’s poor performance against the Warriors was due to a wrist injury, just a side note. Injuries are a part of ball but this never gets mentioned. I can see Luka and Tatum both being the 2 faces of the league. I do believe is took Luka this long to really understand how to win and truly lead a team. I do believe he helped lead KP and Brunson out of Dallas, just my opinion. I’ve got nothing but love for my Celtics and JT but I also have nothing but love for my white brotha out of Ljubljana, Slovenia 😂 Honestly I can’t wait to see both guys in the finals again after this post season, I believe we could see them face off probably 3 or 4 times. I believe Luka has the potential to be a Top 15 to 10 player all time while JT could end up as a Top 25 to 35 guy with the right accolades because they are just that special. Both are my 2 favorite players in the league right now and it will hurt a tiny bit seeing Luka lose to my squad in 5, maybe 6, but green will prevail proudly. Both are special and blessed with God given talent, truly generational. Read my essay I don’t care, neither did I ask… Take care, God bless! 🙏
Tatum seems to have a “let just have fun” mentality going into the finals whereas Luka is looking for prey. Mavs in 6 And the “more athletic” argument for certain players, who ironically have worse stats than less athletic, should be an argument AGAINST them because they should have that much better stats
Luka is one of the best players in the league, but I will say that by your own admission Tatum is better at the other half of the game, defense. Tatum is honestly extremely talented and I do think that this matchup has made people be disingenuous in their rating of him
Shannon is also something. Giving props to Luka as best player on the floor while losing to clippers who are ok team. Yet slandering MJ for losing to celtics while being best player on the floor while playing defence as well. What a silly game this has become

I really wish ESPN would clean house. Their NBA coverage (the on-air people) is by and large horrendous led by racist SAS in the morning, and that lousy hostess of NBA today in the afternoon.
If the Celtics win, nothing changes. Tatum has a much better team than Luka. Luka has been the under dog in every series this year, while Tatum and the Celtics have been the favorite. No matter what happens this series, Luka will always be the better player. Tatum just has a much better team around him.
When comparing players i just always ask myself, if the switched teams would they win more or less. I think what Luka did with the mavs only a couple of players would be able to do.
Forget all that past play bs, the present is here ,starting tonight and we are going to see show up, or shut up!.. First to win 4 out of 7 is the better player!... Nuff said!...
I dont give a damn Luka isnt American its all about who can play and that dude can PLAY. When it comes to sports its all about performance not nationality.
It’s so funny how some ppl really want to pretend why a certain group doesn’t wanna give props to Luka. I mean it’s so fkn obvious. It’s happening in the wnba also. And if anyone who ever played basketball and u are not that certain group y’all would understand what I mean
SAS interrupts commentators who actually know what they are talking about - to make stupid looking faces - and change his voice to attract attention and get paid. Kudos for him for making a great living - just get him in the right medium - maybe Sesame Street - Barney - any other uncomfortable cartoon.
@@howsittastes making winning plays in all 3 games too. Oh and don’t forget about the most important stat in those three games: 3-0 in the win column guy.
Haters to the left, haters to the right…haters, ya just can’t hold ‘em back 🤣😩🤔! But never fear, success is most DEFINITELY the best revenge. And yes, this coming from a black woman… if that brotha was a few shades darker SAS would be hypin’ him up, no doubt.🌹
I hate how when ever analyst & even former compare 2 players, then compare them based on team success and accomplishments… it’s the same thing with the debate between Jordan & Lebron. Those who believe Jordan’s the 🐐 often mention ring-count and going 6-0 as if he played 1 on 5 and only play 6 years in the league
Better career? Not even close. Luka is the youngest ever MVP of Euro League and champion also he is European Champion with national team and individual numbers are better . So career wise no comparison.
Mr. Smith do not like european Player... That's all. Maybe the play the game the old fashioned way , a bit more like the NBA was in the 90s and he wish more players would be this way. That's just my guess.
What does that have to do with anything? Going by your logic Pats 6 SB is null and void because they played in a weak division…. Must be nice being a idiot….
@-raist Tatum doesn't have a ring yet boy. Stephen a made the point that Tatum has reached the conference finals more times. That's why the east being weak matters
i’m glad Luka is white. if he was black he would’ve been poster boy of the league already but since he’s white he’s got every analyst hating on him and i bet there’s players in the league that think the same way about him, and fans too. he does incredible when people are against him.
Sas always trying to do it for the culture but luka is by far the better player and in the WEST not the least east look at Labron in the west and how that's worked out. Bubble don't count lol
Stephen A is only talking about team success and doesn't mention how erratic Tatum has been in the playoffs. Many of his bad games come at the wrong time against inferior teams.
Exactly replace Tatum with Luka and he would be on his way to his 2nd chip by now. Luka ain’t losing to the Miami Heat lead by tomfoolery 😂. Also imagine Luka in the weaker conference with a team like the Celtics.
Tatum has a way better nba resume than luka, and luka in the euro league at 17 is diff but the comp is weak even compared to D1 college athletes, Lukas still a better player but id rather have tatums resume
@Moneyupfunnydown Euroleague is a stronger competition that regular season NBA. It just seems that you haven't watched European basketball lately. And one more thing - who are currently the best players in the league? Let me help you with that - they both come from Ex Yugoslavia, they do not take themselves very seriously and their basketball IQ is actually visible and beautiful to watch.
@@JonSammyEve They day when delusional US basketball fans realize that a grown man league is not only better but substantially better than a kids league that only exists due to stupid rules created to make private colleges money is a day that will never come.
@@EdOBannon-1995 better ask your mom For the SAS back child support payments then. He picked a team that was going against a layer no one likes in Tatum and he’s Knicks fan and hates Boston. People can have cognitive dissonance opinion based on the current situation they are in. SAS has years of shitting on the NHL, MLB, and Autoracing because they are “white sports”.
Luka winning is the Euro League and Euro Basket matters more than JT losing once in the NBA Finals. Especially since Luka was the undeniable best player in both his wins. JT was arguably not even the best player on his team during his finals loss.
World Cup? Do you mean the EuroBasket tournament that's a tournament for European countries? If you mean EuroBasket then you shouldn't claim LUka was "the undeniable best player" in that win, it was Goran Dragić who played out of his mind and was by far and away the #1 best player in most of the tournament but definitely the final match.
@FL1PZ00M most definitely he is won't argue with that i'm looking forward to a great finals this year I think Boston wins in 6 games because I think Celtics have more players capable of hitting shots, if Luka or Kyrie have bad games Dallas might now be able to overcome it
Despite the ridiculous media narratives this is a very exciting matchup. The great on paper but untested celtics vs the battle tested but bruised mavericks. Looking forward to game 1 tonight

Don't forget: -Shai was better, and that's why the Mavericks were gonna LOSE -Ant-Man was better, and that's why the Mavericks were gonna get SWEPT I have said ONE thing for a week now: I will believe Boston is better than us WHEN I SEE IT, AND NOT UNTIL. I *_WILL NOT_* believe it because these talking heads, who are almost ALWAYS WRONG, tell me it is the case. That means *_LITERALLY NOTHING_* to me. Also, why does anyone CARE what SAS says? Look at the comments surrounding that man. He has been a JOKE, for a DECADE. He would be IRRELEVANT, TOMORROW, if you all just quit talking about the Dumb Shit He Says. It's the only thing he is living off of anymore.
I feel like this conversation would be easily solved with a “If Tatum and Luka switched teams” argument. If Luka was on the Celtics, they might be a dynasty already. If Tatum was on the Mavs, they’d be the Pelicans.
Devil's advocate argument (I don't watch a lot of bball, seen some of your videos, & will be tuning in to watch the finals): Mavs offense runs through Lu & Ky. They have to score to win. Boston is more win by committee. From your videos, I learned almost every Boston player can make 3s. Tatum's role for the Celtics success does not require him to put up big #'s. Kyrie can shoot, but he has to attack the rim as well, sort of how a good run game in football opens up the play action, downfield passing game. In this scenario, Mavs guards driving & scoring opens up the 3 game along with helping activate the Bigs. Same philosophy applies here, so if KI & LD get shut down & can't score points in the paint nor get to the line, the entire offense gets shut down. If Boston wins in 5 or 6 with JT outplaying LD, one can make a decent case that outcome would vindicate Stephen A's decision. Please correct me if I am wrong/counter this 👹 advocate argument 🙏.
None of these pathetic sycophants ever talk about how lebald looks like he’s allergic to defensive effort for the past few years but are quick to diss Luka
the problem with all the comparisons about title and is that American sports is too much about individual hero worship. Luka can be the best player and still not win titles because basketball is a freaking team game. sure a superstar player can impact the team in significant ways, but they can't carry the whole team all the way all the time. For all of MJ's dominance in the 90s, his teammates were all just as instrumental to Bulls success.
It’s because he’s white let’s just be honest. The two best players in the world right now are white it is what it is. Tiger was the best golfer on the planet for over a decade and golf analyst just gave him his props because it was obvious he was the best. But in the NBA it so hard for these guys to give the crown currently to Luka and Joker smh 😂
Call me when Luka learns how to play defense. Even if Tatum struggles shooting 3's he still does everything else to make up for it. Whats Lukas excuse?
Does he pass now?? he hasn’t played defense needs better conditioning. Needs to be in an actual offense and not one pass offense and drastically improve his mentality. Do you feel the same or??
None of those analysts ever remember to mention that the Celtics have one of the most incredibly refined, top secret super-strategies in the NBA. "The Clutch-Time Choke"
It’s hard for me to understand the hate on Luka. I believe that most consider his talent among the greatest ever to play. Would these same people say these things about Magic, Bird, etc….. of course not. How about just sit back and be thankful that you are able to watch one of the best offensive talents you will ever see? I guess that would be too difficult to ask.
I love when these analysts talk about individual players in team sports like they’re playing golf or tennis out there lol. “HE didn’t make the playoffs or get out of the first round in 4/6 years”. No DUMMY, his TEAM didn’t make it. 🤡
