@@TheBrettWay they're right. Just because you interviewed him the first time, doesn't mean that it wasn't annoying as fuck to hear you cutting him off every 30 seconds. Luke has been interviewed by other people who showed him more respect by not interrupting him every minute and by letting him talk an by not taking everything that he says as a joke.

BIG correction is needed @34:35 - Luke got his dates mixed up. We went off the "Gold Standard" in 1933 under with HJR 192, long before 1971. In 1971, Nixon ended the Bretton Woods system of fixing of the price of gold to $35 = 1 ounce of gold. If you go online and do a google image search of "Gold Certificate", have a look at old (pre-1933) paper money. Also, pre-1933 there were GOLD $20, $10, $5 and $2.5 coins in circulation. And our paper money had printed on it "Will pay to the bearer on demand $nnn in GOLD COIN". After 1933 this went away. NOT 1971.
I enjoyed this interview. The one thing I would say for the other guy is that allow your guest to speak their full thoughts. You tend to cut him off while he’s getting into his points.

Luke himself always says, do your own research and don't just listen mindlessly and take every information you hear as a fact. This way we get to see lukes point in a deeper level when he elaborate, and we get to see a counter argument from the interviewer so WE CAN FOURM OUR OWN OPINIONS ABOUT THE MATTERS! I was speaking to a notable physicist at a pub in London over the weekend, he was telling me that AI is way off from disrupting labour markets. Its a simple language heuristics model which has been available, that said not to the public, for years. Surprised so many non tech people are getting so infatuated with it considering they do not understand the fundamental mathematics / comp sci behind the product.

Not talking just about the educational system (I'm not american so I can't really comment yours), but Education with a big E. Helping Humans acquire basic skills that will help them develop as thinking beings; not enslaving them. Things like how to use logic thinking, how to learn by yourself, how to adapt to novelty, the importance of conscious learning, and understanding the impact of one's actions on the rest of society (aka how to give a fuck about others and not just yourself).

AI will never replace discernment or what makes humans distinct. Right now it’s pretty much stuck at code and text based tasks. It’s not going to be able to edit video, art and voice like this podcast. This podcast and how you speak and what you say just will never be replaced by AI. Key word is “ARTIFICIAL” not “AUTHENTIC”.
