I've only been elk hunting one time. My cousin who had been there before and who we went with told us... we wouldn't believe the scenery. it is worth the trip just to be there and witness all the things you just showed us. If you get an elk, that is just icing on the cake. The real treat you will find when going is just being there. It didn't take long to understand what he was talking about and he was absolutely correct. Awesome awesome footage here. loved this and the wildlife.

Well hell. Yall represented south ga well. Bo will get one in due time. My son shot his first deer with a 30-30 last year and blew two chuncks of blood and we had to call a tracking dog who said this deer didnt go far. We gollowed blood for 100 yards allnon the trees and everywhere and he quit bleeding and we never found him. Just had him on camera two nights ago.

I never even heard Luke tell the guide thank you . The guide thought he was going to give him a high five but no . The playing grab ass while there is 2 bulls within 200 yrds . I felt for the guide who was guiding these 2 . Smdh

Thats the problem with light weight bows, if they lose their kinetic energy by deflecting off a rib then the chance of kill goes way down. Looks like that's what happened, single lung hit. Unfortunate, but that's bowhunting for you.

That’s a tough one! Don’t get discouraged Bo. This is one of many heart breaks to come in the sport of bow hunting. That quartering to shot is always finicky. Especially with a lower poundage bow and not getting a pass through. Keep ya chin up ole son and keep hammering.🙏🏽 much love from the 229

I would have thought the second bull would have bedded and been lights out. I guess the angle just missed the lungs but had to be in the liver. That's something every hunter fears and something every hunter must experience. All it's going to do is make him more driven make the next elk more special. Hopefully another hunter will fill the their tag with that bull this season.
