It was a critically acclaimed album that reached #1 on both the billboard and country charts. They passed on it because the singer is a Black lady too widely loved which poses a threat by its mere audacity. The Grammy board members already admitted to why they didn’t award her AOTY after her record Renaissance lost in that notorious article that was posted online, and the reason was because her fans expect her to win TOO much 💀 Now, they conveniently had never felt the same over Taylor Swift who’s rabid fanbase expects nothing less every time she’s nominated. Hm..wonder what the difference there is 🤔💀🤡 CMAs ain’t nothin different.

It's not country it's Hollywood. She's been there so long she is out of touch. No matter how much she wants it, that song will NEVER be considered country by true country fans.

Is Post Malone country? As of September 2024, Post Malone's "I Had Some Help" featuring Morgan Wallen is the number one country song on Billboard's Songs of the Summer chart. I think your idea of country is out dated.

I might be the only one to see both side. She's viewed as an interloper, a visitor in the genre who made a great album. On the other side she might come hang out with the country music scene giving high-fives if she was treated better at the last CMA when she played. Is race part of the equation, yes. Is authenticity part of the equation, yes. Work it out and have the discussion. If Garth Brooks made a great rap album would he win an award at the BETHip Hop Awards...never.
