THANK YOU dear lady for this enlightening explanation of the bible. Your spirit radiates such a beautiful light. Thank you! You brought light to many parts of the bible that I was oblivious to. I have read the bible 4 times and am now on my 5th reading. I learned more in 26 min. listening to you than all my time reading on my own. I do so love reading the word of our Lord. Each time I read it, I learn something new and it brings be back to my experience with the Lord Jesus Christ after a near death accident. He gave me a thirst that nothing in this life can quench. I want so much to know everything I can about our creator and our savior and I embrace all that I can learn. Our Lord gave me a second chance at life that many people who have serious accidents don't get. Every day as I wake and know now know who I am and where I am, I praise the Lord for my miracle of healing. I will always be in a state of healing and of gratitude. I would not change the accident that causes all of my daily challenges for anything, because I was taken by our Lord Jesus Christ for a moment that changed the trajectory of my life and my eternal life. I like Matthew as the first book in the NT because it speaks of a more Jewish Jesus -- than the others... makes it a good transition to connect the old covenant and new covenant books

It is amazing how you can take what others use as dry facts, and turn it into fascinating information that we need. I became a subscriber today after watching you on Terri Savelle Foy‘s Icing conference replay. I especially love that as I just turned 70 that somebody out there has references I’d recognize like the Commodores, smile. We are definitely of the generations that are the coolest!

Michael card who is well-known for his Christian music writing all centered around scripture has studied and written quite a bit about Luke as well. It's fascinating as he shared that there's quite a bit of historical evidence to support that Luke was very probably a slave at some point and as common practice for such, a doctor. Which is well documented. Just interesting...

I really wish all the sessions were on RU-vid as I'm doing this Bible Study with my step daughter who lives in another state, and with another group of ladies that live in other states, and we were watching the videos together via the Teleparty app. Teleparty doesn't work with Gateway. It's a fantastic study!

I have to negate your take on Cinderella, as a child survivor. Though, thank you for pointing out prince as Lord. Today, we shun her character but no one understands her predicament. She is able to survive and not turn ugly as some do in toxic families. Step sisters turning into their toxic mother. Did the step sister ask for forgiveness and redeem herself?

Thank you for that insight, Meg. I am also a survivor. As a suffering child, I loved the Cinderella story and felt comforted by it, although I couldn't have said why. As a struggling adult, I know none of us deserves the gift of salvation Jesus offers us; but I still like it that Cinderella, because she had been loved by a good father, was able to receive and share that love that had always been there for her, even when she was surrounded by hatred and evil. Lisa is right in that, in this fallen world, the ugliness in our own hearts may seem to disqualify us from love and acceptance, but our Heavenly Father not only looks deeper into our hearts, but His love is able to redeem us and to change us at that deeper level into a reflection of His love, not by magic, but by the real work of the cross and the real power of the Holy Spirit. For me, I definitely had the ugly stepsister in my heart because I did become like my surroundings, and I did have sinful reactions to the sins that were committed against and around me. Now, although many people may still see me as a loser, I know that my Lord saw me in my desperation and sought me out to pour out His love and mercy on me, and it was His grace that caused repentance in me, not my goodness. He has redeemed me. Today, I am absolutely assured that no matter what anyone else thinks, He sees me as His cherished beloved. It totally melts my heart again and again and makes me want to be with Him (and to become like Him) more and more. I hope that my story blesses and encourages you because I am not unique - He cherishes you exactly the same. Much love and blessing, my royal sister. Until He comes . . . .

I kind of understand the comparison to the Cinderella story - she was shunned, rejected, and held basically in slavery. While she met the prince all dressed up in finery, the point is that he saw past the rejection, etc. and that's how Jesus sees us - not with our failures or strongholds - He sees beyond the grime and sees us as His beautiful bride - the bride of Christ.
