@@nibberbibber5191 This is just another one of his great, 🌟 meaningful, lyrical songs imo, and I just heard/saw it for the 1st time today. IDK understand why the small # of views and comments it has, since it’s not new. I think u misunderstood the original person’s comment on it, and his meaning, and therefore were a little harsh w/ ur reply. He/she said ‘ONE OF THE BEST SINGERS I’VE KNOWN’ - not THE BEST singer! Music is, and should be, a matter of personal choice and preference imo, and this is theirs! * I also agree that it’s really lovely for many reasons - music taste being subjective that is!
This is getting hard to bear Face it I’m not getting through I don’t even think you care All the things I want for you I have been your champion So why do you walk away I, bought you the sky And the oceans too By, the look in your eye The only thing I couldn’t do Was fail for you Don’t ask me to fail for you Oooh, ooh yeah ah My neck is so it down with gold My glory always on display Strangers in this street behold You just turn your head away I will be your victory But still, you walk away I, bought you the sky And the oceans too By, the look in your eye The only thing I couldn’t do Fail for you Fail for you Fail for you Fail for you Fail for you Fail for you Fail for you Fail for you
Songwriting on this guy's album is second to none in his genre. Been a long time since I've been so utterly captivated by a single record - so much love for this.
F chord uses the base note on the E string. Capo 4th fret. Verse: C, Em, Am, G Pre-chorus: Am, G, C, F, F, G,C Chorus (i'm still trying to figure this out): F, Am, F, C and then he goes to G, when singing "fail for you" (he swaps between G and C at the end of the song a couple of times before playing the intro again whilst still singing it). It's a fairly simple strumming pattern. Occasionally he plays the G chord with his first finger on the 1st fret of the b string. Hope this helps!
50 year old music nerd here. Discovered you a while ago while looking for a cover of American Girl I heard on the radio. Didn't find the one I was looking for. Because I found yours. And have been on a Sital-Singh rabbit hole ever since. Sir, you make beautiful music. I will speaking to all music lovers I know about you. This needs more exposure. Truly, just beautiful.
A really nice boy (who I may like) told me to listen to this. I did. I cried. I told him that I cried, he said he did too. This song brought us closer, and for that, thank you so much
Hi Luke! I just want to thank you for this song, it's so beautiful!!! I hope that one day you''ll play a concert in Poland, because you have a lot of fans here:)))
I could die on his voice, it's just amazing. It's been 10 minutes that I search words to describe his voice but I can't find some. ( sorry if my English is bad but I'm french..)
Masterpiece. The studio version doesnt have the same ending but that makes the live version more worth listening to. I have my own interpretation im sure you have yours.
watched Luke perform last night at Doncaster leopard , what a beautiful talented young singer ! gives shivers down me , cant wait to watch Luke Again xx
Most songs I hear of Singh, seem to be directed towards a person suffering with Borderline personality Disorder. If you have ever been in a relationship with someone afflicted with this, you’ll know to some extent, why I say this.
👍 IDK if u, or anyone else, will ever see this comment on ur’s from a couple years ago. BUT just in case… imho it’s not bc it’s ‘magical’, but rather bc it’s a ‘meaningful’ song as a result of the lyrics, combined w/ Luke’s soothing, soft, gentle voice and 🎸 playing that makes it so lovely. He’s done some other very beautiful songs too that I 🩷!
Just bought the album... I don't have to listen to the other songs yet. I expect they will be just as moving as this. I was listening to a different song on BBC Radio6 and your name flashed up for an instant on the DAB. Lauren's show I believe. Great find.
You're above and beyond anybody I have heard since bon iver, and Sigur Rós... you have a delicious vulnerability in your voice. Keep doing what your doing. Lying here on a sunny sunday evening and being totally swept away by your music. : )
