@@IronManEdits Perhaps when he was much older in canon, legends sure. But in canon, Anakin was more active and battle tested than Luke. (Filoni and Favreau have stated this too.) Plus this video has Luke at 28, he was a proper Knight at this point to be sure, but Anakin was running circles around his much older and experienced peers due to his potential, skill and experience during the Clone Wars. During which he faced challenging adversaries such as Ventress and Dooku.
Luke was stated in rotj to be equal to vader by the novel. Luke is much more skilled and powerful, luke literally shook a star destroyer. Anakin has no chances

@@samwool6487 luke was trained by yoda himself and he wasn't troubled by the dark side as anakin was. Anakin had a alot of anger due to everyone trying to control him and experiences (slave as a child, slave of the jedi council and his beloved ones dying pushed him to the dark side) he also lost most of if not all (i dont remember if he had an arm left) limbs cut off which hurted his connection to the force, him being trouble all time made him angry all time and push him more to the dark side but in the long run it didn't had much more potential compared to if he kept continue training
my interpretation is Anakin is physically better in every way and a better saber duelist, Luke is mentally and emotionally more controlled and superior in force techniques, in this situation Luke would be the master but he would say "you are a better Jedi then I ever was"
Fr no one in the post originals can even move a lightsaber fast. They all swing them like regular swords despite them being weightless. With a basically weightless sword, unless you swing it fast it’ll have no force to it. thats why prequels dueling makes 100000000x more sense than the new dueling.
@@BigLightsaber Actually, Vader is not more powerful than Anakin, at least on paper. Anakin has significantly more midichlorians than Vader. Vader seemed more powerful cause he used the full power of the dark side which made him ruthless. Plus Vader became much more knowledgeable and wiser after the duel of Mustafar.
That still won't stop him his anger, fear of padme that's exactly what caused him to the dark side if Luke wanted him to stay in the light he would've eliminated palpatine

IQ goes to Anakin. IQ is directed more to the mathematical/scientific intelligence which we can see him greatly portray in TPM considering both the podracer and droid both built by Anakin.

This match is little bit unfair since techically Ani never reached his prime while Luke did. It's closer when you compare them Ani (rots) vs Luke (rotj), here imo Anakin wins mid-high diff.

Canon luke is not that great he's overrated asf by fans and by authors they give him big amount of plot armor with no logic like when he trained only for 3 years and managed to defeat darth vader who's his entire life was training and haunting down many jedi, he mastered all form, tear up the fabric of reality, He stirred up the entire Earth's crust of mustafar and sent a flood of lava......etc, and even palpatin was afraid if he overthrow him and even yoda was afraid of being found by him. Some of the stuff you used for Anakin is Legends, but whatever. I don't agree on the power/potential part, O don't know where you got the Luke midichlorian count from, but Lucas did mention Luke having essentially the same potential as his father. And anyways feats should be given more weight than midichlorian count imo.
I'm pretty inexperienced in terms of StarWars powerscaling so in terms of feats for characters I don't really know any. Would the fact that Luke defeated his father come under plot armour/ convenience? Additionally is Vader a buff from his past Anakin, I would've imagined being in the physical state he's in he would've grown weaker although I've heard his force abilities grew stronger?

@@Ballism. luke might be better with the force but he’s no where near the same physical strength as anakin. anakin tanked a force push from asajj ventress, and also lightsaber clashed with obi wan while obi wan was on top of him using both hands and anakin was only using his left hand.
