@@annaMlisa513 Yeah, I can imagine that. In a world where everybody starts off with a fair chance... If everyone instantly had money for college, food and a place to stay the second they turned 18. sure, the people who just blew it all and didn't try would be frowned upon... but that's not the case. Some people have it all handed to them, some people have a bit of help, and others have nothing, not even role models. You learn how to live growing up whether its good for you or bad. It's what you know. It's really hard to change those core life skills after you learn them the first time.
Tom, I love that you dont just care to interview these ladies and leave. You are actually helping them and without your channel I dont think these ladies would be getting as much help from the general public. You're awesome!
Rebecca did say in a recent video that he doesn't make dates with them but if he did 1: they are all adults and can do whatever they want. 2: even if it was happening that still doesn't change the fact that he is actually helping them.
Love how people send in all this stuff and give food money and gifts to these ladies! I'm sure it helps make them go through the days and nites just a little easier then before!!! Tom thanks what you do... I have over 30 years clean and sober. I have been able to help many and have great jobs. There is life after addiction and a street bottom...I have the story...I am almost 70 now. Blessings to you..
I've known Margarette for years ,She Loves to Read. She used to Always come see me @ My Daily Volunteer gigs, Soup Kitchen ,Pantrys ,Give Aways & €ven my Mom's house (My Mom & I fed Alot of Ppl from her house from 1997'-1/2015).And I've been a Volunteer @ Helping Others since I was 14. I Pray for those who are on The Street & Living in abandos .It's Just Heart Breaking. So many I've known, who lost their lives to this way of living. I hope Ppl can see them with an Open Heart & not Judgemental €yes 🤗
Been watching quite some time now. Never comment...never! You feeling like you don’t make a difference and your efforts are just perpetuating the cycle are definitely legitimate. If Lulu happens to become the only one that makes it out, definitely way too early to claim success for her yet, yours and others efforts are NOT wasted. You continue to claim you are not doing anything special and there’s lots of people who do this. Obviously there’s not many, if any, who do what you do in this area. Being the conduit to get items to the girls is huge. Even if they never get clean and turn their lives around, you have made moments in their lives special. Just feeling there are people out there that care about you is huge. These people have, by their own volition, been cut off from anyone really caring about them. Feeling connection to others is a fundamental human need. There will always be those who take advantage. You may not ever be able to distinguish true gratitude from greed. Just know the little warm light you provide each of them does make a difference.

Tom you're an angel on this earth. This is your purpose to help these women and the others. My husband was just like you. He would deliver food to needy families, along with coats, hats gloves shoes etc. At Christmas time he would dress as Santa Claus and fill his bag with toys , candy , snowsuits and boots for the kids. He made so many people happy and grateful that someone cared. He drove a van just like you do, and would drop off bread, muffins and cookies every week to those in need. He passed away last year. I am crying watching this video. God bless you.

Like two little girls at Christmas. I hope this is a new beginning for Lulu. She has a supportive family and that cares about her. It seems if more of these women have that unconditional love from family it would make a difference in their recovery and staying clean. Prayers to Marguerite for healing to a point of comfort. U do some amazing stuff to help these ladies .. I'm in recovery have been clean 3yers now. But the respect and time you give these ladies is abselutly wundrfull you'd be supprised the diffrence a friendly ear and the kindness u show makes all the diffrence to people living like this, the letters from famley and food is like winning the lottery wen your in there position... I appreciate the time. Attention and respect that Tom offers these women. I really feel that what he does a special to any woman. It shows that no matter how many men have hurt you and pay you for your time and disrespect you, Tom is offers hope, he listens and gives gifts and his heart and goes out of his way to help these women. You are an angel. I have to say, I've hated men for so long but now I have to believe that they're are good men out there because of Tom. I hope to be blessed one day with a man angel. 😇

My mom always tells me to put canned goods, snacks, socks, bags in my trunk for people who need it. Now that I see how appreciated it is, I will do it. I need to listen to her more! Im so happy they could use the items!
Tom these small things mean so much to these girls. Never take for granted what you have because it can be gone at any time. Just to hear the excitement in their voices means so much. The good Lord will bless you for helping the beautiful souls.

This is the best video. It warmed my heart to see the appreciation they had for you and the gifts. They where happy for what they received and not searching for the cash. I think this is maybe the way to go...clothes and food. I'm not sure just a thought. Marguerite is my favorite but after seeing Lulu I like her too. I'm sorry you were so...undone? last night about Marguerite. Try not to get undone? I think she knows her days are numbered and she wants to have for her one more good time before she leaves us.?? These videos show true humanity. Addicts are sick, not broken. I had my own struggles, God showed me the way out. He doesnt want us to be sick. I wish all these beautiful people grace and love. Please believe your life can change for the better.
Who ever you are, I thank you for being there for these woman. And I think what your doing is awesome and I think you are so nice and I wish there was more people like you in this world!!!! I don't judge or think anything of these woman because I am an addict and have been since I was 28 years of age when I started using. So 10 years of this life style. And no children. That was one of the reasons I started using was because I lost my son when I was 5 months pregnant. I was 1 year clean and so let down...I felt defeated and why me! And I didn't want to try anymore I guess. My life hasn't been great from the beginning really. And I know that I use or used because of the shit I've been through and the feelings that I either don't want to feel or don't want to think about. I know that everyone has a story. And I feel more people need to understand why or how this all works. ADDICTION AND THE FEELINGS OR THE GUILT OR SHAME THAT COMES WITH IT. AND SO ON. ANYWAY THANK YOU, YOUR THE BEST! I APPRECIATE IT AND IM SURE THEY DO AS WELL OF COURSE.

"A lot of people do this" No Tom, no they don't,go into the most dangerous parts of Detroit ,unarmed and treat people with basic human respect. Bringing them items they want and need. Not just what you think they should have. Allowing them quality items to go through is also a small way to assert dignity and worth. Giving these women a sense of basic dignity is the 1st step in raising them up. Bravo!!

This friendship is beautiful and how they look after. She reminds me of how brianne would always look after me when we worked at the Salvation Army. She was in the rehab center there that’s how I met her. So I fell for these people so much

i am not usually lost for words...i paused this about 8mins..as i just needed to say this dude is awesome. I do not know him, but addiction and the terrible damage it inflicts on people, families, communities is a something very close to me. I cannot extend enough love and respect to Tom..and his family who are obviously supporting him to be able to do this....love and peace to all of you.
I really think she's going to end up with pneumonia......I hope not....but I have copd and this cold took my breth away so bad I started hyperventilating on Monday or Tuesday it may have been. Smh.....she needs to get an apartment even if she loves her outside place, for her health she needs it. I wonder if we can start a go fund me?
@@paulabrown4004 I would bet money that there is housing available for her due to her medical needs. I used to be a case manager for the mentally I'll homeless. The issue is would she even go inside? Probably not. She is in charge of her life and while it may not seem like a good decision, she has the right to live it however she wants.

And being out there for soo long any place would probably feel like she was right back in the hospital. IDK but I hope the best for her, she is a good soul and such a character.😁
I’m glad you do this and it warms my heart. I know there are many of girls that need stuff as well but the younger one is a little greedy. I’m so glad she went home to her family.
