Lulu is the ultimate overcomer. A brilliant entertainer, incredible vocalist, an awesome comedian with a superior sense of timing - just an amazing person in every respect. The thing I admire most about her however, is that she's totally open about her life without being an ego-maniac.. she uses her personal story to help inspire and enhance the lives of others. Ms Lulu I want to tell you that your an amazing person. You probably do not remember but in 2001 you was singing in Reading Pa. I worked at the hotel you stayed at. I asked you to sign a birthday card for my mother because she loved you so much. You filled out the entire inside of the card for her. She kept that in her safe all her life. She cherished that card so much. Your such a kind lady and I am so blessed to have met you. I'm thrilled your healthier now and I am also hoping to get surgery to loose weight as soon as I get the rest of the funds together. I hope it changes my life as much as it did yours. LuLu, I'm not sure how many quote family members threw you away, but I can assure you that you have been loved by so many more that would be proud to call you family. We think you are beautiful. I'm happy that you are healthier because it's about the health. You've always been beautiful to us.
As a small autistic child years ago. i didn't understand why people watched, and laughed at the t.v. It seemed every time they laughed, Hee Haw was on. I looked up, and that's when I saw Lulu. I loved her, and began to watch Hee Haw just waiting to see Lulu. I still love her so much.
I always knew there was pain behind that pretty face. I always loved Lulu and still to this day watch my Hee Haw videos. She has always been just beautiful, both inside and out. I am glad for her health's sake, she turned to God for this deliverance, and for healing. She is so inspiring and I love her! God bless ya Lulu!

We all can learn to love ourselves at any size and accept our looks, but we need to love ourselves enough that when we are past healthy weight, to want to do something before health problems creep in, even the fact our bodies are to be temples of the Lord should be reason enough. I want to drop 90. I don't want to settle for higher end range of 120, I want to go for lower end range, 110. I know in the Lord I can do it if I allow Him...
@@holyexperience1976 Just wondering how is it going now? I lost a lot during Covid, I dropped from 170 to 110 (I'm 5'9") but have gained most of it back (now around 150) unfortunately. Just wondering how you are doing now?

I just LOVE LULU!! I saw her in the early 80's in Dallas before surgery. She looked amazing, but you could tell she didn't feel amazing! What a testimony to God!
Wonderful testimony, yes, and something else, too. She still has a fine singing voice. That's fantastic. After all the physical changes and stress she's experienced her voice has not succumbed to age/time as so many others have. What a great gift to have been allowed.
No one that heavy is really happy. Mostly they just laugh to mask the pain. She was lucky to have a successful career but it surely was at personal expence. Glad she is happy now.
My wife and I have recently rediscovered Hee Haw and enjoy it’s cornball humor, but I especially loved Lulu’s gospel singing on the show, as well as that of the Hee Haw Gospel Quartet. She sang with such real faith and simplicity. I’m happy to hear how God has blessed her, and I find it interesting (in my own life as well) that we are still surprised by what He has planned for us, even when we don’t doubt His love for us.

That is such a wonderful testimony. I remember as a child, watching Lulu on Hee Haw, but never knew how painful her past was. I too can relate to the food becoming your friend (I suffered from severe depression for decades) when no one else wants to be around you. I discovered that God is all you need to live a happy life, even if others reject you. I absolutely love Lulu's gospel albums and hope that she continues helping others with her positive attitude.

Awesome testimony and yes it is hard to forgive and it is a process and a choice. I have to do it daily even as I try to have relationship with people who are not sorry for what's happened.
LuLu there are earthly people walking in human form who are really angels. That is LuLu Roman she has been beaten up by those who made fun of her weight. I know they did the same thing to me when I weighed 309. You look GREAT you sing my favorite song I Will Glory In The Cross. Keep doing your testimony and singing.
the amazing thing is that she could be that large for that long and still survive she's been blessed just to survive I wonder how many of the cast of Hee Haw are still alive as far as the Honeys I know that Linda Thompson lives in Malibu I don't know she must be in her late seventies

Jesus is God and there no one or nothing else that will ever be as beautiful as God is. At peace with Jesus forever it will never be boring or dull.

Your soul is very important, & I think you would need to pray & ask the Lord to give you a new way of thinking, & ask Jesus to save you from your sins. If I wasn't a Man of God, I'd probally attack you with the type of comment you gave this person. Rather, I would give you the Love of God, & ask you to seek the Lord. No LOL.. Heaven & Hell are real!
