If you know there is a issue I would pull it out now and fix it because you don't want to have to pull it out later when your scenery is half done. I would personally pull it up and add more braces and add a sheet of plywood down then your foam. You will regret it later that you didn't do that. That flooring will buckle over time
Thanks for the suggestion! I had actually considered inserting plywood under the foam, however that would be a rather expensive solution for me. No doubt the foam would be damaged as well as possibly the track when removing it from the benchwork. Being on a fixed income now, my railroading budget is restricted so I'll stay with this solution for now. I can monitor the flooring and if I see any sag or warping, I can add 1 x 2's underneath.
