Full surface mount assembly anyway. There is a 7 pin through hole header and a 3.5mm through hole phono jack that gets added in the next step. This beats hand assembly by a huge margin.
Yes. Stencils are about another $10 from PCBWay and it makes life so much easier. I have the least fancy setup imaginable, but it's super reliable and has never let me down. Little more than a stencil taped to a piece of aluminum and some old PCBs taped down to hold the PCB being stenciled in the right position. Put in PCB, flip stencil down, squeegie across with an old credit card or similar, flip stencil up and done.
Yes, it should be. There's a lot of tuning that can be done in the vision pipeline to get this going faster, I just haven't learned openpnp well enough yet to get it sped up.
