Luminaries Rapids Lake Visitor Center Carver Minnesota 

4th annual Luminary walk “in the woods”. My wife volunteers to make Ice Sculptures and of course I can’t stop from helping and documenting the process. We set up at the event at Rapids Lake Education Center in Carver Minnesota. 500 plus LED candles used! Everyone going on the walk carried a paper LED lantern (All made by volunteers). Hundreds of paper lanterns, hundreds of ice lanterns and the ice sculptures we created. This year the lantern walk thru the woods was Epic!! It was like no other, unless you live in the 1800's and regularly walk between villages in the middle of the night by way of 100's of candles to mark the way. I felt like stepping back in time, Very unique experience! There was no moon light that night to help light the way at this One Night Only event. Oh, by the way, this is ALL put on by volunteers!!
