I own a luminux 3050 3950 navy seal turtle, up to now i'm still inlove with the watch, its perfect.

I own this watch with a yellow face and white numbers on the crown. Never had any problems with leaking. I believe they stopped making this model. Sad, because it is my favorite watch to wear in the summer with short sleeve shirts. I've gotten so many compliments over the years that I've owned it. Outstanding watch for the money!!

they should make the tritium tubes either wider or thicker for 2x more visiblity.. yes you can see it at night but its like seeing a faint star compared to Vega or Sirus. or make the 12-3-6-9 #s with brighter tubes.. Make this watch stand out cause it needs a makeover mainly like its company name..Luminox More Lumes More Lumes.. i bet their sales would jump.

Why are tritium bulbs barely visible (or even not visible at all) in darkness?

You need a few minutes to adapt to the dark. Then they glow nicely. Don’t want them too bright…😉🤘🏻

i would agree, i wish these were as bright as my pistol and rifle trijicon sights.. they also use tritium gas.. they gave such a great glow that when we were camping one time and my HK P7 sights were facing the campfire and one of my friend said " Dude. someone left their small flashlight on".. it was my HKP7.. i just wish Luminox had a slighly brighter glow.. cause when we are thrown into darkness i would like to at least see my watch just a little and get brighter when our eyes adapt.. Another thing is i wish Luminox has thicker say 12-15-30-45 min markers with wider gas tubes.. That would be sweet.

+Peter Rim As long as you get it from an official Luminox retailer, I think you'll be okay. That's what I did and mine has worked very well.

No -Robles with any of my Luminox watches. I always thought a screw down crown was essential for water resistance, but I was wrong. Unless you are saturation diving, you will be ok.

This is one of the worst watches in my collection. The crystal scratched early on. The rubber straps are garbage. They crack and break easily. The rubber holding clasps break easily. The adjusting knob is very hard to adjust and the sweep second hand bends down then interferes with the minute hand and stops the watch when it is subjected to any type of shock or mis use. It leaks easily. When I was in Navy UDT we had these but they were of much better quality. This would have been thrown out in the trash as it would not have made it through one mission let alone one training evolution.
