My god! I remember getting my hands on the first version when it first came out! I instantly new it had so much potential back then. I havent used Lumion in such a long time. Looking at it now, it has come such a long way in terms what can be done. I recall the Lumion was the first rendering software that used the horsepower of the GFX card, instead of CPU.
please share lighting setup also. you dint talk about it. are you using custom overcast template in effects? or you adjusted the lighting manually? thnaks for the tutorial.
this lumion 8 same components and materials in 3ds max, what i like about this is you can adjust directly the material to your desired render, unlike 3ds max more on trial render. . ..using this LUMION does it recommend render settings like 3ds max?
Thank you so much! I think lumion may be my weapon to clients when I will start doing this kind of animation , let me try and i will back for thanking you again.
maybe you should have lowered the camera when the girl was walking, so we dont see her feet on the ground. ( it adds more realism) Great job though ! what did you use to model
I would like to know about the comparison between using Lumion 8 or Unreal Engine 4, which one did you prefer that has best efficient and for daily uses ? Correct me if im wrong, but in my opinion UE 4 or other game engines like Unity3D has a precomputed baked system that can be useful for Architecture Visualization or even more time saver because they don't need to be render over time, they just need to gets working once and easier to make a revision.. i always use Unity3D to use as Architecture Visualization, and TwinMotion 2018 (but i think Lumion has better results than this..) sorry for my bad english i hope u understand what i said Btw i love ur work! Thanks for inspiring me from all of your video
No worries. That`s a hard comparison both have pros and cons. It really depends on what your focus is and which suits you the best. I use SKP/Lumion combo at the moment but Im already looking into 3DMAX/UE4 combo to see which will produce better results. For me the focus is quality rather than speed. So Im not so much looking at the efficiency of the worklflow of particular program rather than the final result.
Nice RENDER! I'M USING SKETCHUP ,TO CREATE MODELS..But the Interior design did u used sketchup or lumion? I'm not able to use lumion now.KEEP THE GOOD WORK
May I know desktop or laptop configuration needed for lumion 8? 4 ghz with 64 gb ram and 12 gb graphics memory will cost around 2500 US dollars I suppose
Hi there...realy amazing workflow....can you please share the skp model....so that i can practice on it....realy trying to learn Lumion but m not able to find suitable resources.... Thanks brother
I'm a bit curious, what if there's revision on the house model, can you edit it inside this lumion 8? or from outside 3d software(e.i. Sketchup/3DSmax)?
Lumion allows you to make different variations but changes need to be done in modeling software first. If you have Live sync enabled you can observe the changes in Lumion in real time.
New Millennium Design could you do the same with creating a model in revit and then rendering it in Lumion 8 Pro 3D animation ? Or is it only compatible with sketch up
Nice tool. The balance of rendering speed to the visual quality of the environment and built objects would impress architects looking for competitively priced visualisation solutions. But you should know that the way people are depicted in architectural renderings is a VERY touchy subject with architects, who almost inevitably go with a high level of abstraction when it comes to people. Architects themselves would shudder at the kind of living, moving, "SIMs"-quality androids that are seen here. They would be more likely to paste in static 2D cut-outs of real people using Photoshop than do that. If this software has more abstract, and less in-your-face types of people-objects, those should be showcased in order to market this product to an architects.
I understand what are you trying to say but its not the purpose of this channel to market anything to anyone. It is simply showcasing possibilities of Lumion on its own. No photoshop, No post production.
Depends on what your output will be. For photorealistic pics Vray or Corona, for 3D videos Lumion or Twinmotion. There are more software out there obviously but these are most commonly used.
yes, you can select the objects, then you can edit their colours etc. But you can't edit them as a whole MASS PLACEMENT, such as "number of items", "randomize offset from line", "add point(so you can control the item placement path)". I dont have any way to edit the whole MASS once I placed it, all I can do it delete all the items and place them again.
for example, in your video 4:04, you are adding a bush mass placement, there is an editing options window at bottom, where you can edit item type(add or remove item types), number of items etc. and once you accept and place the MASS, you will lose that editing options window forever. I'm asking if there is a way to have that MASS editing options window back to reedit the MASS?
