Hey Gavin! I am a highschool baseball player that has had to tryout for numerous plus teams. When it comes to what the coaches are looking for, that is mainly body language and how you react when you make an error or mistake, and how you mentally get yourself ready to make the next play. They also want to make sure you are a good listener and coachable. And anytime your teammate makes a mistake, lift their heads up and pick them up mentally. Just make sure you have simple fundamentals down and make sure you are a good team player. Make sure you know situations, such as where to throw the ball with runners on base, and where to hit the ball with runners on base. That is in the category of being a team player because you aren't just trying to kill the ball, you are trying to simply move the runners over when batting. Most important aspect for yourself, is to never be late to any team event, always show up early, and during the tryout, don't feel like your under a bunch of pressure. Just give it your all.
