Luna - Her Adoption, Life & Last Day 

I can't believe its been a whole year without my best friend.
It feels like yesterday and a million years ago all at once.
I still miss her every single day and think I will forever.

Relationships with animals are just as special and unique as ones with humans and the grieving process should not be looked at any differently.
I wanted to share my feelings while grieving the loss of my best friend Luna. This is one of the hardest and most traumatic things I've experienced.
I feel like it’s the only place in my life I can really talk about my grief (other than with my partner and a wonderful Burmese Cat group on Facebook ) and I really want people to know they're not alone in feeling this way.
Most people in my real life don't see it that way and that a cat is only a pet. It makes me feel really sad for them that they see an animal that way and have never experienced such a pure friendship.
I really hope this helps someone else.
As hard as it is for me to do this I hope sharing the pain of my own personal hell makes you feel less alone with what you are dealing with right now, no matter if its recent or in the past or completely unrelated to any of this.
