Honestly though, he is very mature for his age. It's a nice change from most youtubers making dirty jokes all the time and being over the tip constantly. Much more relaxing
Well done bud! I'm in Vancouver BC! You are right there's nothing better then being out in the woods and away from the city. Keep doing what your doin! Hope to see some fish and cooks! - tight lines
Hey dude don't worry about the content and the frequency of your uploads, make sure everything in your life is taken care of first before worrying about us! We appreciate all of your uploads!! Glad to see you in the woods again bud, I look forward to more videos!
Nickolas is an absolute legend, he is doing what most kids his and my age (16) wouldn't. Nickolas, don't, please don't start thinking this is bad content, or what we don't want. I can tell you for a fact that i love this and many thousands of others do too. You are different, special, an individual with an amazing personality, we come here for you, whether that be camping or opening supply packs, anything, if it is what you love, it is what we will love. Also, a PSA, you know Nickolas is a loving and kind soul when you see that he has hearted almost all of the comments, he reads them all and he acknowledges that. This man is a bloody legend. From a mate down under. Keep up the great content.
Nick Im 13 and recently moved to the city (sadly). And I just wanted to say your videos inspire and motivate me to go hunting, camping, fishing, trapping, etc. Overall you make good wholesome content and I hope to learn more stuff from you and my family. No pressure obviously. Overall I want you to know that you are greatly appreciated from me and probably many other people.
@@aimeewhellans7853 no no no... I *LOVE* the woods soooo much. I just have a strip on my property though, but at least I'm not in the city. I'm 13 as well.
@Wub_Wub Monster well actually there been experiments done showing plants have emotions too but i straight up eat everything ranging from basic stuff like chicken or deer to goat and camel
You are a wonderful person Nickolas! Your videos reach so many different viewers, who may have some problems they have to endure. Just to let you know, I am enduring a second return of cancer and it is not nice, but this video took me to a beautiful, tranquil place and your honesty, humbleness and calm maturity made me forget for a while - I am so happy that you got permission to venture into the woods, even if it is only on a Sunday. I know it gave you a huge boost to be back out there. Great video.
Nick you’re an inspiration. If more young men were out enjoying the outdoors instead of sitting in doors strapped to video games the US would be even better of a place to live. I wish you would put together an amazon wish list. I’m sure a lot of us would love to send you some outdoors equipment. Keep up the great work my man!!!
Nick thanks for the great video. Hope you had fun and really appreciate you making this. I enjoyed watching, you have a wonderful attitude. Keep ‘em coming!
Right on Nickolas, glad to see you out in "The Bush"... but.. you must always be prepared, even though you didnt think you "needed a coat" it was cold... and you didnt care for that..lol you never know what could happen and you want that extra layer. you can take it off, they make good butt pad.. and gloves.. always have gloves.. you dont want to injure your hands.. your life in survival depends on it. and a first aid kit.. you should have it in the front or the first thing out.. you want to be able to get right to it should something happen.. next.. never apologize for your weight.. its no ones business but your own.. you are getting outdoors and doing what you love and i LOVE that.. there is nothing wrong with wanting to better ourselves but we must not put ourselves down. you are a great kid.. i admire you.. keep up the great work.
015diesel his comment wasn't creepy bro. Just sees a good kid and wants to spread some wisdom...your probably the exact opposite type of person. Get a life man
The Gleb there’s no reason for that. This is the nicest and just all round best kid I’ve ever seen. Hurts to see people still be negative to someone so great
I think you can tell how happy this guy can be alone. Most youtubers are NEVER alone and need people constantly around them. It’s a positive sign to see a youtuber out solo in the woods doing his own thing and not needing people around to make him happy. Hopefully one day he shows us a significant other- but until then I appreciate his good ass prana on his solo trips :)
Good stuff. You should try hobo aluminum foil meals. Potatoes, onions, carrots, mushrooms and sausage diced up with butter, salt and pepper. Put it in aluminum foil envelop. Throw it in the coals of a fire . Flip it every now and then. Good camping food.
I had a hobo meal last week at survival camp. It's pretty legit the guy gives us a lot of knives hatchets portible saws etc we put hamburger in our hobo meals as a base though. It's pretty good
Don’t worry too much about trying to get a lot of content. Once you try to do it to often it becomes less fun and pressured. Your very mature and a refreshing personality to see especially due to your young age. Just keep doing what you love and doing it how you love.
Wow this video is so refreshing. It feels like I'm out in the woods enjoying nature with you. A nice mental break from all the stress in my life right now.
My girlfriend and I just finished a thru hike of the Appalachian trail and watched this video as we're sitting in a hotel room. Great content Nick, it's good to see your enthusiasm for the outdoors. It's very endearing and a great way to encourage others to get outdoors. We'd love to see some more hiking/camping oriented videos. Keep it up!
Im 14 and you're honestly an inspiration dude! I live the outdoors almost as much as you do and lately I've been getting into Bushcraft and all that. Thank you for making these videos!
I love this kid he’s not like all of the other annoying you tubers he is so nice and doesn’t go off and do dumb stuff like everyone else he does what he likes, best video I’ve seen in a while nick keep doing what you are doing ❤️
Nice vid Nic, a couple of observations from watching. This isn't criticism, just a couple of pointers to make things easier for you. Try using your pocket knife to make your feather sticks. You will have more control and get a tighter feather. Make sure the knife is sharp. You could save weight not bringing the axe/tool thing(I can't remember what you called it) but the sog will do all you need. Leave the tent pegs at home, just sharpen some sticks. The weight saved there--bring a jacket, you said it had been snowing earlier on. And don't put the water in the dry bag, it kind of defeats why you have the dry bag if/when it leaks all inside(I learnt that lesson on my first outing for a 3 day camp, my spare clothes were soaked!) Keep up the good work, I enjoy watching from the UK 🇬🇧.
Good to see younger guys enjoying bushcraft. Keep doing what you’re doing. I’m west of you in eastern-central Ohio in a fairly rural area. Being outdoors and in the woods is good for the mind and soul. 👍🏼👍🏼
I’m about the same age as you and I used to be just like you but the last couple years I haven’t been doing what I really loved. After watching this video it reminded of what I really loved. I’m going out next weekend to camp in my woods because of you. Thanks man!
You have such a sweet and kind spirit. I don't know much about hunting and the outdoors but you make me appreciate it so much! Seeing you do what you love is incredibly humbling and inspiring!
Great job Nikolas It makes me so happy to see someone doing something they love. keep the great work! Btw don't be so hard on yourself from what I've seen so far, your content is fire, you know exactly what to do!
My stepbrother and I used to go out in the woods and build clubhouses. We'd fell a few trees and saw them up into maybe 8-10ft. lengths, then we'd fit them together into log cabins. We had a whole fort going at one time. It was damn impressive if I do say so myself. You need to find a friend who can come help you explore and film stuff. Also, you need a good BOW SAW! Those are handy as heck. We built our entire club with one.
Semi-pro tip: you can carry around a baggy of dried cotton balls and use them to light up some smaller sticks - they're pretty light weight and easy to ignite to get fires going (even wet ones with enough patience) but I super loved the video and I'm more than excited to see more
Yeahhhhh HESSSS BAAAAACKKKK!!!! Dude I just went out yesterday for the first time in a year and it felt AMAZING to be back in nature! So excited for this! You should start a shelter for new videos!!!
Hi Nick, I was so happy to see a new video from you today and almost an hour long, love it! I am so glad you are out in the woods doing what you love, the more you practice the better you are getting. I love watching Joe Robinet and TA too, keep watching them and keep learning. You are an inspiration and I wish more kids your age could get out in the forest and do stuff like this instead of being chained to their cell phone. Next time maybe bring a jacket though just in case so your are not cold! Keep making videos when you can and we will watch.
I'm astounded at how well put together these videos are. I've always had a love of the outdoors and camping - I wish I had the courage to have documented my adventures when I was your age, currently I just wish I had the time to get out in the country. I'm no wise or particularly interesting person, but as a 23yo living in England, I watch your videos and think what a credible, humble and hopefully proud role model you are to others around the world. Great work, please keep at it. All your content is great and you have a natural ability to make things interesting and engaging with the viewer, which keeps us watching. Once again, great job and you seem an honest good guy. Best of luck.
Hey nick if you really enjoy camping and want to learn more outdoors skills you could join your local boys scouts troop and go camping with them and learn more stuff but other than that keep up the good work👍
The passion this kid puts into his videos, 57 minutes long and he still edited it, and the most amazing thing is he is doing what he loves, I was one of your 70 subscribers.. look how much success you have now, I'm truly happy for you Nick, never stop doing RU-vid as I enjoy your content so much
I absolutely love this! It's like therapy to watch this :) I love being in the outdoors, but live in the city so this is a good compromise, thank you for taking the time to create a video like this!
Nick you are killing it man. Love the outdoor vids. Never thought it would be something I would be into watching. But your passion, maturity and knowledge on everything you are doing keeps me coming back. Keep it up brotha
I absolutely love your channel Nick. In this cynical world you are a breath of fresh air. Please don't change. You're so wholesome and such a lovely young chap. You're a credit to yourself and your folks. Keep it up my man!!
Dude, I'm currently watching this from my house near London in England. It's great to see someone doing what they love. You can't beat getting out in nature and I'm glad a dude as good as you has built up a following whilst doing it. Rock on friend
You are so brave!! A lot of people would never go alone in the woods like that!! Excellent video!! Take your time making videos for us. We enjoy you very much and don't want you to get sick of us! Love from Maine, Nick!!!
I rarely comment on videos, but I liked the video so much I needed to. I hope you become the most badass survival person on youtube. I would love to see you do some catch and cook!
Ok this might end up a bit long winded but you asked for ideas and comments on what we like to see from you. First off dont lose the passion you have for the woods. It's such and awesome thing watching your videos and hearing the excitement in your words. I still remember when I was 8 and went in my first deer hunt, I was hooked for life being outdoors. Second, plan your camera positions so you not only show off what your doing but it will transition into what you do next. Less work finding those good shots. Also you might practice a shot a couple min before recording, saves battery for the shots you want. Third and last thing today. Just keep at it. Keep that fire alive and video all the little things you want to share. Life is best lived in the moment and your love for sharing life in the woods with everyone is priceless. Great videos and look forward to many more Nickolas! Side note we have the same last name my man!
I’m so impressed with how positive your fan base is. You’re just a normal lad out enjoying nature and doing what you love and everybody here is just supporting you. I watched your 70 subscriber special when you first put it up and your channel just blew up. I haven’t really checked in since then and it’s so refreshing to see a RU-vidr just doing what the fuck he wants and not getting endless shit for it. I’m from England and mike from taoutdoors is based just up the road from me so great to see he’s having influence on your work all the way over there. Good luck for the future mate, you truly deserve any good fortune that comes your way.
I actually prefer the go pro quality over the other camera. It’s more in focus, the color is less warm and is more accurate and has a much wider fov. Just my opinion. Great video btw.
Nickolas, I enjoyed your video. Glad to see you out there and trying to make it work in the bush! I do wish you would not give up on the fire so easily and next time, get some leaves and make it happen!!!
Keep up the good work man, your fun to watch! I’m glad you’re into the outdoors, there’s lots of valuable skills you’re learning and teaching as well, my 6 year old son loves your videos!
Glad you are back pahdna. Miss you. Your videos are so relaxing to watch. You are so lucky you have the woods at your hands. I live in a big city with no woods around. Keep up the great work
I really enjoy watching your videos Nickolas, I live in Colorado and watching ur videos Makes me want to camp more! Keep it up brother. Enjoy God's creation. Psalm 19:1
I found your videos from a Mr. Leon Lush, and I’m glad I did. It’s refreshing seeing someone as young as yourself do something productive. Gear reviews would be enjoyable for me to watch!
Dude you are a huge inspiration. I am very tired and I can assure you I will finish watching this video tomorrow, love your channel. One of the best ever.
Hey, you’re not fat, that’s a horrible thing to say about yourself. You’re smart, intelligent, independent, and don’t worry about what other people think about your content, a lot of people out there love your content. Keep on doing what you’re doing man!
I've been living in the city in California for years now and I hate it. In a few days I'm moving back to western North Carolina with my family and I can't wait to go hiking more and spend time in the woods. And your "Come out in the woods and you'll feel something special" line got me even more hyped and almost brings a tear to my eye. Keep up the awesome content and living that awesome life brother.
