I hung a couple of those in my shop. Nothing's more bad-ass than breaking your own rules. The fun part is when someone that doesn't now me well gives me a dirty look when I light up in front of it and them. Yep, I'm warped

Generally if I was the cook I would want to fix hot breakfast and dinner, and at lunch have a soup/chili/stew, sandwich and salad bar. Let the crew put together what they want, when the want. Just come in between 11 and 1 to get a plate. That way they can eat when they have the chance, because I know even when if most of them can break at one time for a meal there still has to be folks on station while the boat is underway.
Two full crews on boat that rotate off/on every 6 hours. Lunchtime meal is generally biggest/main meal on boats I ride. It works out that there is about an hour for each mealtime. 30 minutes each side of watch change time for crew to eat without extending mealtimes for the cook
