This is an overview of my Lund SSV14 that I converted into the ultimate bass boat! I go in depth from the ground up about all of the upgrades I installed with the help of my family. Like, comment, and subscribe. Let me know if there are any questions you have.

I highly recommend it! It makes storage so much easier! Plus, I don’t hit my shin on it walking around the garage anymore lol.

That is an awesome job on the boat and trailer. I have the same boat, older EZ Loader trailer. Can you tell me where you got the mount for the bow roller? The one that lays flat against the frame of the trailer. Thanks and go fishing!!

Thank you very much! Lund makes excellent boats. The bow roller was installed on the trailer when I bought it new. The only modification I did to the trailer was the aft keel roller. West Marine or any local boating hardware store should carry something similar. Tight lines!

Looks nice!..I'm torn between buying a new ssv16 or buying a used boat, never know what your going to get buying used..

If you’re looking to do your own build the way you want it, I would suggest going new if it is financially feasible. However, there can be some good finds on the used market. Some can be fixed up, or some can be built out by the previous owner already to fit your needs. It all depends on the condition. Either way I hope you find something that works for you. I HIGHLY recommend the Lund SSV line. It’s an excellent choice.

Just my opinion buy the new 16 ssv. I bought a new wc 16 in 2017. I wish I went with the ssv. With the ssv you can add consoles, windshields, flooring etc, all at a latter date not paying for all of it at once. Enjoy

Awesome setup! I have an older Smoker Craft 14’ and looking to do a front trolling motor mount but don’t want to do the casting deck. This was very helpful.

must have safety foam floatation to support any thing you put in it full of water must not sink

There is plenty of foam in the aft and forward ends of the boat installed by the manufacturer. I only removed a small amount under the seats to install the trolling motor batteries.

Wonderful description of your work. Your wiring is very neat. Do you know how much additional weight was added to the SSV-14? Great job!

Impressive skills doing that yourself, boat turned out great. Really appreciate u kept your Granp's motor, I kept a Johnson 2 hp from mine to tinker with. I almost picked up a new Alumacraft V16 this spring, to kind of kit out. I ended up picking up a super clean mid 90's mid trim level model cuz I fish bigger water occasionally. That hull looks like its the base of the Fury 1400, I really like them and the 1600. Just insane what they want for prices for a new one so I made my own Fury out of a Sea Nymph LOL.

Thank you man! I won’t ever get rid of this motor. It runs great, and it’s fun to work on. Looks like a good rig from your videos! How are you liking that 25 Merc? I’m thinking of getting one eventually so I can get into some of the lakes that don’t allow 2 strokes.

They are called E-LOCKS by DuraSafe. Very easy to install!

My garage is 19 feet 5 inches. The trailer was 19 feet long. Remember there needs to be room for an outboard motor on the back, and it's good to have a little more space so you can walk around the boat with the garage door closed. After installing the Fulton Fold Away, the trailer measures 14 feet and 10 inches.
