Great information! As a (retired) nuclear instrumentation tech & Engineer, I find these videos absolutely wonderful. Everyone needs to watch these. Keep up the great work. BTW, I'm presently printing Prusa Research face shields, and designing & printing masks (personal use masks) on my several 3D printers. NOTE: Finding PETG shield material is a bit of a pain. ; )

Thank you for such concise info. Geez CT is so much easier to interpret . Years ago when I was in med school my teacher told me ultrasound was the next big thing. I said no CT is so much easier . She reminded me about the time and money advantages of Ultra sound. I insisted she must be wrong ....obviously ...she was right ! LOL :)

Chloroquine acts as an ionaphore opening a door in the cell membrane through which Zn enters to disrupt C-virus RNA replication. Taking Chloroquine as a prophylaxis - 1 tab twice a week - as medical staff are said to do, does the door close when you stop the drug or remain open indefinitely? Excellent work and videos!
@debbiez7618
@debbiez7618 4 года назад
Richard Nations eventually closes. Usually when given for malaria it’s given before entering endemic area, for the duration you are in endemic area and for 2 weeks after leaving.
@argenusae
@argenusae 4 года назад
Debbie Z does chloroquine’s action in a case of malaria also depend upon its function as an ionaphore as is the case with Coronavirus?
@debbiez7618
@debbiez7618 4 года назад
Richard Nations I don’t believe so. Since malaria is a blood borne parasite and not classified as a virus it is my understanding that it works on the heme of red blood cells. I think the ionaphoric action is more closely related to cancer and viral research. There have been cases of people who take malarial prophylaxis correctly and still come down with malaria months later! Scary

anyone trying Ivermectin to increase the SPO2/saturation as it did in vitro in the un peer-reviewed study?? or anti fungals? Bats get that ground glass lung involvement with a fungal infection and studies have shown that GGO is a diagnostic sign of pulmonary fungal infection and it's indicating that anti-fungal medicine should be considered.

Roger Seheult, MD. is there any research, for a mechanical device, that puts oxygen and removes carbon dioxide directly form the blood, bypassing the lungs for this function and or aiding respirators?
@SillyGrandma99
@SillyGrandma99 4 года назад
This is ECMO = extracorporeal mechanical oxygenation or a heart lung machine which is high risk with major complications complicated requiring team of people to operate & use limited to young with no comorbidity
@dankuchar6821
@dankuchar6821 4 года назад
The common term is a heart lung machine. But they come with a huge set of risks! It's not something you can just plug in and let go. It requires a whole team of people to use. I've had two open heart surgeries and I can tell you from personal experience that it's rough to be on one of those for a few hours, let alone for days at a time. Your risk of dying from heart lung machine is greater than your risk of dying from the virus.

Can lung ultrasound detect early covid infection? Early meaning no extensive damage in the alveoli or no fluid build up yet? if so, And how early?
@clarencelafuentes4801
@clarencelafuentes4801 4 года назад
I would think so. Keeping the fluid out is necessary. The earlier the better. Treatment should be: Cortisone[Solu-Medrol] injection, or Prednisone 5 mg, about 80 tablets, 12 tabs po the 1st day, 11 tabs the 2nd day, 10 tabs the 3rd day, etc..., then I believe an adult at least lbs, and about 15 or 16 y/o, Lasix[furosemide] 40 mg, this us a diuretic, then an antibiotic, Z-pack, maybe or Doxycycline, a bronchi dilator, Albuterol or Primatine mist. Getting a portable O2 machine or C-PAP should help, have the upper thoracic/back elevated, your head, too about or at 30°, or sit up 9n the couch, with the comfort of being able to sleep on the couch with head elevated. A recliner is my choice.

Do you guys think that permanent lung damage wiil or can occur from Covid-19? Also, won't it come back once it gets colder again? One more: do you think that people will be more likely to get it again once they have already gotten it? I understand people build antibodies to the virus once contracted, but could it possibly make it easier to contract it again should it mutate?
@patriciaikeda2608
@patriciaikeda2608 4 года назад
Not a Dr. But the rate this virus multiplies we will see mutations, logically it will happen. Hopefully turn into a less dangerous Covid. I think this will be with us now going forward. We will beat this though.

In a previous video, you referred to stimulation of the innate immune system using cold/ hot therapy. But in that same article, it also mentions electric stimulation for the same purpose. Do you have any research regarding that? It seems that would be a lot easier to implement rather than cold/ hot baths.

I'm assuming you're using ultrasound because there's no access to x-ray or CT? Ultrasound on the lung is going to cause line streaking to the point it's almost unreadable.
@tyoud1
@tyoud1 4 года назад
No the problem with a CT-scanner like an MRI machine is hour-long cleaning sessions between patients. These hand held portables are easier to clean. There are mobile C-arm X-ray machines, but ultrasound should be cheap and straightforward.
@FightinIrish0202
@FightinIrish0202 4 года назад
@@tyoud1 In many of the ultrasound applications you're gonna be asking the patient to hold their breath for 5-10 seconds so that you can get a somewhat accurate reading. Probably not optimal as youre essentially asking a patient to not breath when they are suffering from asphyxiation.
