Luoyang, the "Sacred Capital", is one of the eight ancient capitals of China and the place where five thousand years of Chinese civilization began. It is connected to Youyan in the north, Qinlong in the west, Haidai in the east, and Jianghuai in the south. It has been called "the center of the world" since ancient times. It was the customary capital or accompanying capital of China's orthodox dynasties before the Yuan Dynasty.
Every day from 6:30 am to 12 noon, a convenience morning market will appear on Xiangyang Road in Jianxi District, Luoyang. The varieties of this morning market are comparable to those in Shandong: clothes, shoes and hats, sheets and quilts, rice, noodles, grains and oils, meat, eggs, fruits and vegetables, as well as several breakfast shops with local Luoyang characteristics. The pace of life in the old town of Luoyang is very slow. The nearby residents leisurely stroll around the morning market in the morning light, chat about home affairs, play chess, get their hair cut, and buy vegetables and fruits for the next day. Life is so leisurely and comfortable.
