You said it. As if I want already hooked on the song on first listen, this was perfectly altered to be live. And just think, no one in the mainstream made anything like this when this came out. Lupe is seriously a legend.
Words cannot describe how much I like this song ever since it came out. And this whole performance...man they killed it. This song takes me to another world.
i literally love this version sooo much ! lupe took me to another world with this song ! :) can't get this song out my head it will forever be on replay ! im inlove lol
The best live performance i've ever heard from a rap artist, absolutely unbelieveable the sound of the band his flow the lyrics absolutely beautiful. He quotes Shakepeare in a rap song that says it all really. One love Lupe.
Lupe got so much swag..that shit just oozes out of him naturally...I love it..he's the whole package...fine as hell and brains for days...IT'S DA LU 4EVA!
Lupe is hands down top ten rappers of all time, and he's only released two albums. He has such amazing talent. I love every song he puts out. He's hip-hop's savior
I think we can proudly say that during our time there was a rapper of the 21st century who could make music and rap as great as the classics of the 90s like Nas (Illmatic), Jay-Z (Reasonable Doubt), A Trible Called Quest (Low-End Theory), The Roots (Do You want more?). I think both of Lupes albums make the top 20 of the greatest rap albums ever made.
That"s so beautiful song, I'm a metalhead, but I really like Lupe's music :) And to see a real band with him in live make me more impressed by his talent :D
mannnn i see why they were bouncin and vibin on stage, the live version sounded so damn AMAZING i felt lost in the damn song LOL.. hell i thought he was talking DIRECTLY to ME.... i literally felt like i was about the float listening to the melody and the words OMG #thatgoodshit
Saw your comment as the 1st of many, Berry. & yes this version definitely takes some musical cues from Total's Kissing You. It's crazy cause the song itself wasn't sampled from another but this version makes u think it was. It was already a dope song, & it just got better with this live version.
@@randomguy-hc7pv Yep. Matter of fact, I saw Lupe perform all of Food & Liquor live in L.A. at The Novo last year. They have that version of Sunshine posted on here as well. Definitely check it out.
i completely agree with u man this sounds better thanks to the jazzy feel to it. I still like the studio version, but dam AOL knows how to improve these songs. Lupe has to be the biggest genious Music has ever seen in its life.
@Brain4pain Lupe is referring to hip-hop and a girl. It can be interpreted either way. In the 2nd verse, he states he love her like a metaphor, she's hard to get----in other words, Lupe loves hip hop that are complex---full of metaphors (like this song), wordplay, .....etc.
