What works like magic is having a powerbank jump starter you keep at home and then use to help start the engine. Diesel starts from good crank rpm as it needs compression heat and faster crank more heat as less time to heat cylinder walls and cool the air. Still I like petrol/lpg more. By the time you started your Lupo I'm already several kilometers away
I drive a Audi 80 tdi and I installed a webasto to preheat the engine and interior. And we have never -25 in the netherlands. But I hate the ice on my windscreen It would help you a lot to start the lupo.
