Lure Fishing Adventure on the Canal with Kids!

A short Lure Fishing session on the canal with my son. Trying to get him interested in fishing from a young age. He is probably a little too young yet to grasp using a rod and reel but it's nice to get outdoors!
I hope you enjoy this little video and I would encourage everyone to take their children and/or grandchildren out fishing! Just keep it simple, short sessions and break it up with other activities like feeding the birds etc.

I took my son fishing for the first time when he was 3-4 but was too young then, he just wanted to keep spinning the reel 😅 Then at 7 he got seriously hooked on pole fishing on Macclesfield Canal, catching his first roach, perch and even bream 😊

This is what it’s all about matey! 👏 My son just does the same thing haha, I cast out and he likes to reel in! 🎣 I can’t wait till he is a little older so he can get into it properly! Tight lines!

I love his Jacket. It's a great idea to have some time for son and dad, and he will remember those days when he was older. Getting them out in the fresh air is also a big bonus. My son is twelve now and comes with me on the odd occasion. PS even I trip over my landing net lol

Thanks mate! Yes that’s what it’s all about! Getting out in the fresh air and nature! He loves it but still a bit young to grasp the technique 🤣🎣
